Hello
I was accepted to GWU as well as the UHP.

Currently, I am planning to attend school and major in Biochemistry and possibly end up double majoring.

At GWU will I be able to do undergraduate research? Or will I just be a little helper to the professor? Also... How are the actual classes themselves? What about the laboratory facilities?

I only ask because I also got accepted to Bates and Bucknell, and while the other two schools are great I love DC and wouldn't want to pass it up.

Thanks!

This is just one student’s story: My D Class of 09 had a fabulous experience with the chemistry dept. Excellent research opportunities beginning in sophomore year. Personal mentoring from some of the professors. Great support from the Fellowship and Research Office: Goldwater Scholar Honorable mention, plus a Luther Rice and Gamow Scholar, both awards used to support her research. Some of her research under her primary lab director is now at NIH, for additional testing. Summer REU at UPenn and excellent acceptances to chemistry PhD programs. She is now a first year doctoral student in Boston. She worked hard academically and made every effort to get to know the professors.
