Help...I am torn between GW and Case and it is almost the end...Case gave me a nice merit award and I did not get any from GW...I like the energy at GW and the personal touch at Case. I am interested in the humanities and performing arts...I am leaning toward GW..Thanks guys

They're both good schools- it depends on your family's Fin. situation.

FYI- Case is #38 while GWU is in the 50s.

From what you've stated it seems that Case is a better choice, but if you can afford GWU go for it.

I and some of my friends attended GW (several) years ago. My brother atended a few years later. When we were there we were all in agreement: the graduate and professional schools were all very well-regarded and well-funded, but many undergraduaute areas, particularly in the sciences, seemed to be neglected. For me personally, it really showed in the lab courses where equipment and facilities were poor and the instruction was mediocre. I did however had some good humanities and history professors and enjoyed those classes. I wonder if things at GW have improved a lot, or whether undergrads still feel they are getting short shrift in a lot of ways? This may be relevant to Ariel's case. I don't know have any direct knowledge of Case but have heard very good things about it. By the way, GW IS in a great location, tons of things to do in Georgetown and Downtown.
