I'm a freshman at George Mason University (GMU) and hoping to transfer to GW for Fall 2012. I've lived in NoVa my entire life and want to live, work, and go to school in the city. I went to GMU because my parents were in the middle of a divorce at the time and were unaware of finances. Turns out GMU is not the right fit for me socially, geographically, and academically. Academically, I feel GMU is too easy, I want more of a challenge.

I have a 3.7 GPA. (Probably will be the same after Spring semester also)
Member of Club Field Hockey and College Republicans.
Part-time job (20-40hrs/wk).
Majoring in Communication (Will be applying to Columbian College of Arts & Sciences).
My parents friend is going to write me a recommendation letter because his late father was a professor at GW and himself an alumni. Also his family constructed and built the swimming pool at GW.

What do you think are my chances?

Thanks.
