GWU Transfers

wasnt the case for me either...it probably does mean theyre undecided. the good news is that if her grades are good, shes most likely in.

I was a freshman year transfer and they didn't need my grades, but I had a friend who also applied as an incoming sophomore as well and they asked her for her grades

did everyone's financial aid info and credit evaluations come with their acceptance letters? because i haven't received any info. on that and my parents keep nagging me haha.

My credit eval. came, but nothing came regarding financial aid.

hey guys.

is anybody going CCAS? i'm transferring from fordham university. i got my transfer credit evalution thing with the admission letter. it says all my credits are transferring but the website is confusing me cause they say that they accept a max of 18 "professional courses taken at another institution" towards a degree. but then somewhere else it says

CCAS will accept up to 66 hours from two-year colleges towards a degree. Students must complete at least 60 hours toward the degree in residence, including at least 12 hours of course work at the 100-level in the major field.

confused. help!

Have any of you heard the good places to live for upperclassman transfers on campus? Any suggestions? I haven't heard from financial aid either, but already heard from admissions :) YAY!

I think all the upper-class dorms are quite awesome!

i'm transferring to CCAS as well, but i am equally confused about the requirements. hopefully they'll tell us what we have to do soon because its a mess right now lol
but those of you that are def going should join the facebook group!

Whose going to start housing? I'm certainly going to start working on the housing documents after they recieve my deposit.

the housing application is available starting June 1st right??

have any of you been able to make a netID yet and how long did it take to make it from when you mailed or faxed your statement of intent? i faxed my intent yesterday and mailed my deposit first day, but i'm wondering when i'm going to be able to create one... and as for me, i have not got any information on fin aid

i tried to make a netID but it said you have to be registered for classes so i couldnt...anyone else have that problem?
and i really hope they send us financial aid info soon, i tried calling their offices but i couldnt get through to anyone!

I have the same problem. I won't be able to do anything about it til Monday though because we have to be cleared for registration for an advisor. So much confusion!!!

I've been having the same problems as well - I'll try calling sometime next week, I know I sent out the intent to my uncle to pay and I made it clear that the deadline was by June 1. Twas kinda unfair - I mean, they sent the packaes so late they didn't give us much of an option. Oh well, it was my first choice anyways. Anyone know which dorms we should pick?

ahh there is so much confusion! i got my financial aid info today, thank God my parents were driving me insane about that. i still havent gotten transfer credit info though so i'm a little worried, i think i'll call and find out what the deal is. New Hall and The Dakota sound reaaaally nice, except i dont know which dorm to pick...!

I kinda want Munson or the other one that starts with a J by it, i want to be by the metro stop and NOT live in a freshman dorm, but we'll probably have last choice.... here's to working my butt off next year to hopefully pay for a very expensive (but hopefully very nice) dorm or apartment!

and i'm going to call on monday about the netID thing, so i'll post what they say

I'll be deffering my for the Spring of 09 though I applied as a Fall 08 transfer. Do you guys think they'll let me pick housing now? I already sent the deposit and declaration of intent, all that's needed is a phone call to GWU.

ok so apparently they still havent processed my intent. how long did it take for any of you guys to get a NetID?

IDK, I still didnt have a chance to call them. I didn't have a chance to do so today. I decided to go inthe Spring semester.
