GWU Transfers

I know I have a lot of questions in one thread, but here goes....

Has anyone who is transferring to GW applied for housing yet? Do you know if housing will be available to all transfers who want it, don't care where live, and apply sometime during the summer? (like sometime in july?)

Have any of you got transfer credit evaluations yet?

What is the experience like of a transfer to GW?

I'm also a possible transfer student, and I'm really curious as to how we would acquire housing/roommate. An admissions counselor told me that we would fill out housing and roommate preferences forms, but I'd like to hear from someone first hand, lol. ^^;

and i got my transfer credit evals - they were pretty generous, they didn't take any of my 1hr pass-fail seminar courses, which was expected. I'm just slightly screwed because the required courses for GW (specifically ESIA) are quite different from the required courses at my current school, so I'll be having to do quite a bit of catch-up.

Got my transfer credit evals - Like Mi_Lee, GWU took all of my credits, but it was disappointing that so many of my credits, especially communications and journalism credits did not articulate to the required journalism courses. This might set me back a year and I came from a small private LAC with a 4.0 in my major.

^ for me, ahoo2u, as an ESIA student I'll have to take 18 hours for at least 2, probably 3 semesters, and if I decide to go I'll take Macroeconomics over the summer at a local college here so I won't be tied up with it at GWU.

Also, I heard from one really helpful transfer student that you DO fill out housing forms, but while some people get their preferred dorms, others do not. I'm a bit worried about being involuntarily placed into a single or Mount Vernon, not because of how nice the rooms are but because of the social repercussions.
