@GWdreamteam1998 I know I’m a little old fashioned LOL! I actually dropped the F-bomb when I was talking to my hubby about this crap.
@alanislguerra I agree with your advise to @Ivanne and your comment about “need aware”. I grew up very poor but the state college I attended was super cheap at that time (I am really old).
I received very good finical aid from GW! I was surprised they’re giving me $47,600 not including the pell grant!

Here’s what I’m confused about… @Ivanne child was accepted off the wait list but got no FA or scholarship information. You received the information when you were accepted off the wait list. That really concerns me. :-S
@GWdreamteam1998 Naval Reserves Officer Training Corps. Through months of work an essays, the US Navy gave me a full ride to just about any college of my choice and I immediately am given a job as a ranked naval officer with no college debt and a stipend up to 180k when I graduate college. After a few years in the navy I can do just about whatever I want and I want to go federal after a few years. I set up my life for success but this damn waitlist is the ONE thing holding me back from that future.
@HappyFace2018 Its for each year! It was under Alumni Award:$47,600 not including work study it’ll cost me around 13,000 a year to go

I wonder if telling them that my cousin is an alumni during the waitlist call day helped me out along with mentioning my interest and goals of course lol I guess we’ll see soon

I called GW admissions last Thursday…The man I spoke with was very unhelpful and somewhat angry that I was calling. He did however “hint” that many waitlist applicant slots were in the process of being filled… 
@HappyFace2018 I called the FA office this morning and they said it could take up to a week to get award information and that she would escalate my daughters app. She also told me to call the admissions office to ask for a deposit date extension. Both the FA and Admissions office were surprised that the deposit date for my daughter said May 2nd. They said coming off the waitlist should be a later date to deposit by. Both offices had a 10-15 minute wait time this am. I think they are really busy. For those still waiting, don’t give up! I am guessing after they see who deposited after tonight they may start another wave of waitlist calls.My daughter really wants to be in DC so we deposited at American last night and will have to wait and see if GW has a better package. If she didn’t get in off the waitlist at AU and GW she was going to go to Seton Hall University for their Diplomacy and International Relations program. They gave her 95K for the 4 years. I hope she is making the right decision giving that up because we are going to have to get loans now.
