Does Irvine have a good gym? I heard that Davis (the other school im looking into) has an immense gym and that Irvine's is well, typical. Yeah or nay?

NAY LOL

i am very sports oriented and ... well, i LOVE irvine's gym

yes, theres a raised-level TRACK that goes above and around the bball court. plus there were rooms for Yoga, a whole seperate court for badminton, a swimming pool, and individuals rooms in which ppl can practice tennis. oh and therees a HUGE room with like a zillion (Exagerrated, but you get the idea) workout machines. :P oops and theres also a rock-climbing structure

Who do you get this stuff from? Typical? Give me a break. Unless Davis' gym is less than 6 years old, Irvine's is the newest in the UC system.

Irvine's gym is top notch. Large weights room, various types of courts, 10 lane pool, four indoor basketball courts, indoor track, I could go on and on. I believe our classes are awesome also. I took up swimming, golf, and judo, all awesome classes.

check it out at campusrec.uci.edu

1-HELLA how good is their gym?

whoops! i meant their weight room. i heard davis had a much better weight room/exercising facility and that irvines is not impressive but i may be wrong im just citing one friend

irvine has the tightest gym ever: they call it the ARC (anteater recreation center).

indoor bball, outdoor pool, indoor track which is elevated on the second floor as seen in those pics. work out equipment. free to UCI students!!

Their weight room is more than what you'll need, unless you're a professional power lifter or something. Free weights, machines, bench press, whatever you want.

I can't wait to work out at the ARC lol no more need for a gym membership ^^

"Their weight room is more than what you'll need, unless you're a professional power lifter or something."

alicantekid, what kind of an assumption is that?! Of course i am a professional power lifter!

nah im j/k i wish

Looks nice. I'll probably go inside the gym with a day-pass or something when I visit my friends here.

oyama- when i went on the campus visit i met up with a couple friends from my HS who go there, and they were able to get me into the ARC, i just used a spare ID of a guy that i look similar to. they didnt really check and i was able to play basketball and stuff. so, basically..don't pay to get in

im hella lookin forward to workin out in the arc
