I have a reccomendation from the top Economics Professor in SFS (I know him very very very personally, the Reccomendation was 2 pages long)

It starts out "Of the 10 years being a Georgetown professor, I have not once written a letter regarding an Undergraduate student, however, (my name)......"

He read over my essays and said they are one of the best college essays he has ever read. (One depicts my unusual past...Father was abducted never to be seen again, he was a political activist)
He was also part of the Adcom for a few years and claimed that they are his friends.

EC's:
President & Founder of Book Club (4 years)
Secretary of FBLA (3 years)
Treasurer & Secretary of French Club (4 years)
Team Leader for Chess Club (2 years)
Cultural Diversity Club (4 years)
20 hour/week job since freshman year.

650-700 Subject Tests

26 ACT (28 Math & 27 English)

sounds fairly good, H&SS is not one of the tougher schools to get admitted into either. did you explain the extenuating circumstances in your app? did you take the SAT I? what is your intended major?

yes i did explain it
I took the SAT I my freshman year
I beleive I applied to Psychology (I had a great rec from my ap psychology teacher, and how much interest i have in it.)

i was just curious about the SAT because youmentioned the ACT and the SAT subject tests but no SAT. i'm not very familiar with the ACT, but that doesn't mean anything lol

i think you have a great chance, especially if your essay is good and your ECs stand out to them. the rec that links your interest in AP Psych to your major is also great.

I got into HSS with the same GPA but worse ECs, I think you're good. Especially coming from the South, there aren't many of us here! =)

thank you...any others?
