So to all the recent Haas students...how is the grading curve? I heard something like 5% A's, 10% B's. Difficulty in regard to a CCC?

Thanks in advance!

I don't attend Haas, but i'm gonna say it's probably a very low curve, and it is far more difficult than CCC.

definitely easy once you are in and get all the required courses out of the way, i know people who are successful and they find haas way too easy compared to real life, but it gets you a job and thats more that what other majors do

well i cant really speak for haas but I’ve taken 3 accounting courses and the grading is pretty generous. 2 /3 of those accounint classes were based on a fixed scale. one of em was even more generous. the prof would take the max (the curved grades, the score you earn based on the syllabus fixed grade range).

It gets annoying when the professor grades students based on ranks. This happened to me when I took intro to fnancial. I was so sure that I got an A (caused I aced everything except a B on 1 midterm) and got a B+. Turned out that we were ranked and the prof gave around (~20%) of the people A’s.

Intro to accounting (managerial/financial) are pretty much the same with CCC. you can ditch half semester worth of classes and still get 100 on the midterm. However, intermediate will be tougher and you will need to come to class to actually know what’s going on.
