Haas decisions came out today!

I'm happy for my friends. Most of them got in 8)

I wanna hear back :(, L&S though... :/

What? Decisions out? I thought they came out on the 29th...... I applied EECS....

no mathwiz, decisions for current sophomores who are trying to get into the haas school of business found out today.

how online or by snail mail

Can you please post your friends' college stats?

Haas students, at least the ones I know do not like sharing their grade stats.

Just do your best. If you don't get admitted, it's not the end of the world. A business degree isn't going to make or break your life.

I know, but still, it'd be nice to have a more personal perspective than the stats on the website.

Could I go Haas in any way while I major in EECS?

You could, technically; a lot of Haas people double major but with EECS, it might be kind of hard just because EECS is such a demanding major

Knowing the prereqs for Haas and EECS, I would say it's just about impossible to do both. Even if you do, don't expect to do well and/or have a social life.

How about CS and Haas, combined with 41.3 AP units already completed? Could I do em then?

karch. depends on what those ap units are. I think the main problme is that CS classes will give you a low GPA, and one would need a high GPA to get into haas. But if you think you can handle it, go for it.

It's only hard to do EECS + BA if you want to get the Haas degree, as it requires that you get admitted into the school. The "prereqs" for admission include 7-9 (?) L&S "breadth requirements," half of which aren't even business-related and are probably just there to give future Haas rejects another path to take.

You can take all eight upper-division business courses (100-107) alongside EECS without being a Haas student. You'll get no priority in registering for them and no formal degree, but you'll still be able to say you've taken them.

Here are the admissions statistics: http://www.haas.berkeley.edu/Undergrad/statsucb.html
Average GPA: 3.63, Acceptance rate: ~60%

karch, it looks like you are a high school student. wait until you get on campus for a feel of what academics are like first-from experience many students end up switching majors.
