Haas is over for me

So i just found out after taking 21 units in one semester, that i couldnt cute in in my Spanish and Stats class

5 units Spanish 2: B
4 units Stats: B

I am currently doing an internship at an investment advisory firm but i dont think it will be enough for Haas to accept me.

These are the only B's i have gotten since starting at my CC and i only have 18 more units to complete for my Haas requirements.

Is is over for me?

Is my GPA going to be too low for acceptance?

probably a 3.7-3.75

I am seriously freaking out and dont know what to do.

Any help would be great guys

thanks

Well if you look at the range of GPAs Haas accepts every year, it’s 3.6-4.0 so don’t give up hope. How many prereqs have you completed by this previous fall semester?

only english 102 or 103 and Cal 1

Thanks for giving me some good info. Its been a really bad day for me

I attend UC - Berkeley right now and I HAVEN’T met a Haas transfer yet that didn’t come in with a 4.0 from CC.

So they all came in with 4.0s?

Damn it

demoz, that’s interesting because I know plenty of haas transfers with 3.8 or 3.9. I even know that the haas business school association (student gov) president transferred from Diablo Valley College with a 3.6 gpa.

This statement is a bit exaggerated. The people you know are most likely not a representative sample of the total population of Haas transfer students. According to the fall 2010 class profile the average GPA was a 3.84. The middle 80% GPA range was 3.60-4.00. High grades, but it definitely disproves the notion of needing a 4.0 to get in.

Out of curiosity I just looked up the Haas Business School Association, and am noticing that a LOT of the officers are CCC transfers. Does anyone know why?

I never said that my statement was representative of anything. Those are just people who I’ve met and it is what it is.

@altschool Haha yeah it’s strange. You’d think that students who were already at Berkeley since freshman year would have the connections and are more likely to be elected as officers. I guess transfer students that become admitted just have the qualities that people are looking for?
