Stern vs Haas?
Hi everyone!...I was admitted by both UCBerkeley and NYU.My major is finance. Both schools are awesome so I have a hard time picking between the two.

Could you please help me evaluating those two schools and give me some suggestions?About campus culture, college atmosphere, and academics(especially finance)...I will appreciate it!:)

I got into both 4 years ago and picked Haas. I ended up not wanting to major in business at all, so I’m glad I was in a place every every other department was also fantastic and switching majors/double majoring was easy.

The considerations from the above post are important. A few others to consider: you’ll need to apply again to Haas once you come to Berkeley, each school is better positioned (geographically) if you want to settle on the respective coast of those schools, Haas ranks higher than Stern in terms of undergraduate business school rankings. It’s harder for me to give you a feel for Stern (I’d ask students there for that), but the pre-Haas culture can be intense but will motivate you to seek out opportunities to better position you to get into Haas and to develop your resume, which you may not get at Stern. Once your in Haas, you’ll feel like more like a member of a private school for a public school price (if you’re in-state), but still competitive in the sense of pursuing internships and getting good grades.
