For those accepted today, congratulations. Did any of you get any financial aid info in your letter? Just wondering, because the other schools I heard from (EA and one last week) had the $$$ info in with the acceptance, and my G'Town letter today was just the letter and card. Anyone get any $$$ info today? I don't know about you'all, but I can't go unless I hear something about money. Thanks for any info.

Same here! I hope to find out soon, though, because I need to make a deposit by April 15 at a different uni if the $ isn’t enough.

My daughter’s EA acceptance did not include $$ information. The site says that this is mailed out with the regular decisions. Weird that it didn’t come with your RD acceptances, though.

I agree… hope they send it soon so we know if it’s even feasible for D to continue considering attending.

Yea i’m pretty sure i wont be able to afford to go to GU anyway even though it is one of my top schools :(

Yeah, EA accepted waiting for the $$$.

My EFC: $18k
Georgetown’s EFC: $31k

Not cool.

i was accepted ea and got aid info today in mail…im from socal too.

that has been on my mind since my EA acceptance. Stressful part is that I don’t even have my application done. I have just about every possible complication imaginable (uncooperative accountants, recently divorced parents, custodian parent has solo-owned business, etc etc).

Any idea how late I can submit and still have a day to ponder admission (before May 1st deadline)?

My friend (who goes to Gtown right now) got his financial aid package about a week after acceptance (RD).

But you know…you could always open up some spots for some waitlisters…;)

Ask your financial aid counselor?

If I’m an international who applied for financial aid, is there little chance in me receiving much?

^Sorry to hear about your struggles, necro. I’d suggest calling/contacting Georgetown FA and let them know your situation. I know their “priority” date (whatever that means) for FA was Feb 1st, but my understanding is that colleges pretty much take financial aid applications until the money runs out… which may be pretty close at this point. Hang in there.

How many EA acceptees have received their financial aid yet??

Because I definitely have not…

Necrophiliac…email your fin aid counselor. Explain. The team at G’town seems to want to do what they can to help.

wow the community is even more friendly than I thought. But God has honored my small animal sacrifices so granted me a spot at Wharton. My heart lies in finance so this is not an offer I can turn down. I thank all the friends I have made in this forum but I must migrate into Upenn’s forum now.

^^simpson, I still have not

simpson, I haven’t received mine yet either. I’m also waiting on Northwesterns;;;

S is still waiting here, too. He’s waiting for financial aid packages from three other schools, too. The sooner the schools send them out, the sooner students can make decisions, the sooner schools can start dipping into waitlists…

checked mail today. still not here.

Gtown is soooo slow.

Wooo, I got it!! They were incredibly generous!!

Full Cost= $55,030
EFC=$0

Grants+Work Study= $51,620
Stafford Loan= $3,000

Family Contribution= $410.00

This is incredible, my family nearly cried.
