I really want to go to USC but I won't be able to w/o the half-tuition scholarship. Chances?

Ec's: 3 years of Soccer, 4 years of tennis, 4 years ping pong, 100 hours community service, led 3 religious retreats for classmates, Big Brother's society- 2 years, peer tutoring 3 years, NHS-2 years, founder of cooking club- 3 years, I'm also pretty active in my school's admissions office, helping to run things like open house and 8th grade visits and some other things.

Work Experience: I work for my school. I'm the president/ student leader of an organization that raises funds for my school. I've raised 20,000 dollars, and hired 4 of my friends who raised a lot of money as well. This work is for about 9 hours a week for 20 weeks a year. Ive been working for 2 years so far.

Also, I convinced our principle to start providing recycling at our school. I think this is an important accomplishment... It didn't take a whole lot of work but it took initiative and courage. Should i include it in my app? If so, where?

you could work the recycling thing into one of your short answers. something open ended maybe. I think you have a solid shot at the scholarship.

You have a pretty good shot

Are you by any chance a national merit semi-finalist? If so, you would have a good chance of making finalist(absurdly good chance) and automatically receiving a half-tuition scholarship

I think you have a good chance for a scholarship interview- Presidential (half) or Trustee (full.)

maybe you could convince USC to recycle [for real]

very strong merits for scholarship. scholarships are awarded by department, but you'll probably end up with at least half tuition. yeah, recycling bins all over the place is something i want to see too

Be sure to apply by the December scholarship deadline.
