It’s great, so long as you don’t have to worry about getting a job. SLO is one of the least affordable places to live in the nation: [SLO County ranked third most expensive place to live - Cal Coast News](http://calcoastnews.com/2010/08/slo-county-ranked-third-most-expensive-place-to-live-2/)

On the slightly brighter side, SLO is home to a decant amount of insourceing. Thank goodness for student startups, like Shopatron ([Shopatron -The Leader in Retail-Integrated eCommerce, Order Management and In-Store Pickup Solutions .:. Shopatron](<a href=“Composable Commerce Solution | Kibo Commerce”>http://ecommerce.shopatron.com/)) and iFixit ([iFixit: The free repair manual](http://www.ifixit.com/)). If I can ever make it out of Cal Poly alive, I at least have the possibility of sticking around SLO county if I choose.

ha ha ! It is good and bad…because after you graduate, everywhere else you live is downhill thereafter!

Wow, I hadn’t even noticed the name!
