all of the college books that i’ve glanced at have all basically hinted that kids at penn are stressed out all the time. they say kids are extremely stressed all week and then get wasted on the weekends. How true is this? Is it more the business/engineering kids who get stressed, or is there a general undertone of stress on campus? I want to go to a school that has a really happy campus.

look, i don’t want to get crucified by the penn students who frequent this board, so please just take this as a question and nothing more. I’m just curious.

I think Penn kids are about as happy and relaxed as you're going to find at a school of this caliber. Everyone here tends to be pretty chill. That's one of the main reasons I ended up choosing Penn - the people here seemed to have lives that were so much more well rounded than at other schools I was considering.

Some kids don't know how to relax and have fun... others do nothing BUT have fun. Some are in the middle. You'll find all walks of life... but in general the people are easygoing and chill.

okay good...friendly, nice, chill...good words

consider yourself crucified :-P

Sure, people are stressed around finals time and such, but beyond that it's more than fine. Hell we got noted in Newsweek as a happiest school!

and a number 7 ranking to boot, thanks to those gafs at newsweek
