What's more common on your campus?

It depends on the situation and where you are.

Given the previous contract with Molson and the new deal with Boreale, I'll have to say beer.

/guess which university

At parties, beer. But people keep a lot more liquor in their rooms.

hard liquor, unfortunatly. Seems like everyone hates beer except me.

Haaard
Yeah!!!!!!!!

beer is only good for playing beer pong and parties, so people can feel "cool" longer. if everyone drank red cups full of bacardi, there would be a lot more hang overs, throw ups, and hospital visits. beer gives you the sensation of drinking alcohol, without actually drinking any. oh no wait, that's smirnoff. eh, same % as beer. basically, if you want to have fun with a lot of alcohol for more than an hour, beers the way to go.

besides that, bring on the hard liquor.

The school I attended last semester was officially a dry campus and small bottles of liquor were easier to sneak around with. It's kinda hard to conceal a case of beer ... not to mention dispensing with the empty cans.

Are you actually being serious? A beer has the same amount of alcohol as a shot and a Smirnoff has a higher % of alcohol than does a beer. You can have fun for much more than an hour drinking hard liquor as long as you pace yourself and know your limit. Beer is good for a lot more than beer pong. I like to sip on a good beer when I'm studying - not to make myself feel "cool" but instead because I like the taste. Are you actually even in college?

ew. considering that most often I see kids getting the big cheap cases of Bud Light and Natty Light, I'm convinced that practically no one our age drinks beer for the taste.

beer is more common at parties, it's easier to just set up a keg (plus beer pong is huge) but people on campus will keep liquor in their rooms.

Well the thing is you can drink a shot much quicker than you can a beer. Well for me at least....so they may have the same alcohol content, but i can drink 3-4 shots in ten minutes, while it would take me probably an hour for that many beers (i just can't chug beer...gross)

So I agree, beer is for fun drinking and kegs at parties, and hard liquor is for when your aim is to get drunk fast

I HATE beer, the taste, the feeling, the whole shibangabang. It's just bad, I dont understand how so many people drink beer and like it. It taste so bad. Beer to me, taste like carbonated water.

On the other hand, I like mixers and liquor. Better taste and everything. Fav drink: Jaeger Bomb

i second that - jager bombs are great

i also like vodka mixed w coke esp. if u put enough coke so u cant taste the vodka

If it is more of a social event (ie, a game or frat party expect beer, and cheap stuff). If the point of your experience is to get ****ed up expect real liquor.

Damn maybe I'm weird but I'm 18 and I absolutely love the taste of beer. Any kind of beer - I'll drink good beer when I'm chilling out or studying and when I want to get ****ed up I'll kick back a case of Busch Light. I can drink beers fast though - Like a case in 2 and a half hours.

what about cigarettes? are they quite common on campus? if so, which brand?

Marlboro Lights or Parliament Lights
You see the occasional Camels.

taj, do you smoke bali?

marlboro and parliament lights are woman cigarettes

woman cigarettes would be Virginia Slims and Capris
Marlboros crosscut gender and race, they are very unifying!
and lately this year it seems like all my friends at school smoke Parliaments and American Spirit.

in what way could this possibly matter?

i'm still in high school, but at the college parties at humboldt state that i've been to, most of the time people are drinking beer, but that's just because everyone is already so high off weed that they don't need to get even more messed up.
