Harder... FSU or Auburn

I just got accepted to Auburn! Now I am trying to figure out which school is harder to get in to Auburn or Florida State? Thanks!

It all depends on which school or program you were just accepted into …

ACT avg, gpa avg. are also factors. Freshman class factbooks from each school will give you this information. These are usually posted on the univ websites.

Or, you could look at just general admission rates for a rough idea … Last year, AU had a 70% admit rate.

timbo31694, Congrats on your acceptance! Its irrelevant which school is harder to get into. If you applied to FSU and you get in, it is more important for you to decide which kind of school you would be happier attending. They are verrry different schools in terms of size, location, and atmosphere. audellmom is right–Auburn colleges vary on what they accept–COB and COE may be higher than LA. FSU is strictly numbers–GPA and scores–with almost 50,000 students, it has to be.

If you are instate and meet the FSU criteria, you are most likely eligible for Bright Futures, so financially, it would be a big difference too!

Campus size and population is certainly a factor to consider – as abtsmom mentioned, FSU is much larger than Auburn, so the “feel” of the school is definitely different.
