Hardest class you've ever taken

AP US History was really hard, like the highest grade anyone got on a test was a 83% or somewhere around there. PreCalc was also a really hard because my teacher would teach the material fine and in an understandable manner, but when she gave us a test, she would put stuff that we would have no idea how to even start to solve. She said her tests were hard because “I’m preparing you for AP Calculus BC” but sometimes I thought they were ridiculous.

AP Chem… as a senior. An ‘A’ was 85+, and some quarters I barely scraped by with like an 86. HAHAHAHA. But I got a 5 on the AP test – the teacher knew what he was doing, despite our frequent doubts.

def ap world.
1-2 maybe, out of a class of 35+ got an A…and i was not one of them

Physics I & II, the teacher was an idiot and would teach you the wrong thing only to grade it entirely differently on the test. (At first we were told the value of acceleration due to gravity was negative… Then we found out on the test that it was positive…)

wordd. mine had this weird thing of always wanting our DBQs done EXACTLY the way he thought they should. only the things that he came up with were correct. about ten points were deducted for every point we didn’t match up with his one. it was bs. almost got a B because of that and i’m a history freak. -.-

:open_mouth: lucky duck. i got a B because i had an 87.

ap chem is the hardest class ever, in my opinion. it’s hard to learn something that’s fake …

Honors Math Seminar - Problem Solving during junior fall of high school. Our nightly homework and exams generally consisted of AIME level problems for warmup, and there were several USAMO and IMO level problems. So one could get 4 out of 6 right and still be looking at a very low grade. There was generous extra credit available for going well beyond the problem to gain some new insight, but the class was insane - the teacher was a former head problem writer at a national competition and the students were those who qualified for USAMO every year. I learned a lot and actually came up with a few clean, concise, interesting proofs, but in general, I was overwhelmed.

IB Pre-Calculus definitely kicked my butt this year. I just didn’t find it interesting and didn’t see myself using it anytime soon. (I’m planning on majoring in International Relations/Political Science). Andddd, it’s sooooo boring! What the heck do I care about friggin limits?!?

Mine’s not even an advanced class. It’s German. I didn’t pay attention in German I so I struggled on the last two years of the subject. Thank goodness it is over. The teacher had random grading though, so I was able to pull decent grades at least.

Organic chemistry and pre calc are pretty tied for me. both classes made me lose fath in humanity

AP Spanish Language. Followed by AP World History. IB History of the Americas was tough but I liked it.

IB Spanish next year will be the hardest ever though.

Every math class 'cause I stink in math.

Political Science…taking it now online
soooo hard.
I’m scoring low B’s on the tests because the tests are just sooo detailed, even with the book open its hard to do.

I don’t think I’ve had any difficult classes; not in the sense that we had trouble learning it.

But one time, I tried to learn the basic principles of Lisp programming. It blew my mind. The programming nirvana that is said to come with mastery of the subject will always elude me.

Chemistry.

APUSH, because I hate history and history hates me. I seriously almost started laughing when the class was discussing the policies of Adams because I was so hopelessly lost.

APUSH: Not because the material was hard, but the teacher was rather…eccentric. One thing I will never forget: In the book, it said, “Battle of Antietam: The Pivitol Point” in big bold letters. So on the test, when it asked, “What was the pivotol point of the Civil War?” I was like, easy! I got my test marked wrong and questioned it, and the teacher is like, “Well the book is wrong.” And that would be fine, if he had TOLD us this, but all he did was throw a book at us and tell us to read, and then tell us the book is wrong! ARGH!

I got a 4 on the AP though so I’m happy.

And AP chem- again, not the material, but the workload. I seriously had 5-6 assignments due per week until the middle of April. Not little homework assignments either- 10 page packets, write-ups on science articles, 15 page labs- all worth test grades. That class was brutal. I was considering going into science but this class completely just turned me against it.

3 on the test. So busy doing those assignments, no time to actually sit down and actually READ and UNDERSTAND the material.

Oh, I forgot you could get scores by phone now lol. Hm…

Honors CA I. Teacher was a cool guy and all, but his class was hard. I don’t remember why it was hard though, I just remember it was.

Honors English 10. We were convinced she didn’t bother to grade anything because everyone either had a C+, B-, B, or B+. We had tests where the highest grade in the class was a high 60 (a D+), and it was NOT scaled. Miserable class!

Definitely APUSH. I struggled maintaining a B in that course. But my efforts paid off well: I got a 5 on the AP exam.
