our class is pretty crazy. it’s the highest level math class in our school, and our school is all asian. 11/12 people in our class scored 800 on the math subject test.
yet, our average always hovers around 70. and we can’t get a curve simply because one kid always gets 100 no matter how hard the test is. :)

Since I’m a rising junior the hardest class I’ve taken so far was Honors PreCalculus.

The entire class grade was based on test scores alone. Homework was given ( Like 45 probs a night) but it was never even considered or looked at. Probably my fav. class though, cause I thought it really weeded out those kids that get A’s through extra cred assignments.
The tests were a real measure of how much you knew, not just how good you are at taking test.

The class was hard for me because of the stress level of the test. even though most of the material was easy :P

IB French… ughhh. the exam is rly rly easy, but my teacher is a terrible person! She likem purposely fails everyone and only gives As to thise she likes…

It wasn’t difficult conceptual and required no studying, but I am a perfectionist and did photo-realistic work (or at least attempted…lol) and I spent so much time outside of class doing my 24 portfolio pieces…

Math Analysis sophomore year The second semester was terrible. It sucked even more because while doing the homework I understood EVERYTHING, but when the tests came along, my mind went blank ._. I ended up with a flat B.

Algebra I (like another poster mentioned) in 8th grade. I nearly got a B+ in the last trimester, but luckily got some last minute extra cred. Phew.

I just suck at math (though geometry was GREAAAT).

I cannot think of what class was the hardest… hmm I am taking precalc over the summer, but everyone is saying it is really hard, now I am scared I won’t pass the finals… ****. Well to me is seems kinda easy… maybe I am crazy?

Honestly… my schools sucks, all the classes are easy to me, I should have gotten into IB at a school thirty minutes away!!! I got in and everything, but I am lazy. Anyway… hardest was probably biology: the teacher was a dip**** and did not teach jack. Since the test was made by another teacher, we didn’t know anything, he curved the final just over 30%… I kid you not. But w/e… I got an A both semesters…

Mostly bio was hard because the teacher hated me, he was such a dick to me, and I got kicked out of class for talking back to him not once, not twice, but seven times… ***!!! haha… plus I hate biology, who cares?!?

I have two which nearly caused me to drop my major and change it: 1.) Engineering Analysis which is basically applied Vector Calculus and Differential Equations for engineers. 2.) Ordinary Differential Equations which is just a very difficult class it normally comes after you take Calculus III and Linear Algebra.
This may be seven years old, but I must admit that, from a parent perspective, I really enjoyed reading it. Maybe it’s time to get some new blood commenting.
man this is an old thread but hi!
English 9 Honors is a killer at my school lol. 10 AP/Honors classes later and it’s still my hardest.
We blew through 2 books, 2 plays, 12+ shorts stories?, countless poems & speeches, and an epic in 18 weeks kmn.
The homework took me hours to do & I worked so hard to just barely scrape by with a 93 (A-) & a 94 (A). My only A-! Although, the class average must’ve been a C+ hahaha. Definitely worth it still & I absolutely adore the teacher now!
My most difficult class was speech/public speaking. I am an introvert extraordinaire who had many friends but rarely spoke in class. I had to cover lack of class participation with academics. In college, since I had refused to take speech in high school, I registered for speech. Because of anxiety, I am skilled in deep breathing so that I had covered, but had no where else to turn. God bless Sister AM who got me through the tears, gagging, shaking and traumatizing the podium. My personal final was running for class office. I made a speech for both me and a sick friend running for another office. We won. My proudest grade from pre-school through graduate school is the B in speech. Oddly, I am now a very good public speaker, but remain very quiet as a person. Still hate meet and greets.
9th: Honors English 9 - The only honors class I took that year. We had a discussion every Friday, which murdered my grade because of my social anxiety. ;-; I loved the class otherwise though.
10th: Honors Biology / AP Gov - Both were very time-consuming. The topics covered weren’t that hard… There was just a lot to do.
I’m predicting APUSH will be the worst next year, the teachers themselves literally said its the hardest class at our school.
