I got into UCLA and Davis and am having the hardest time picking between the two. My main goal is getting into med school and am torn between the two. May 1st is approaching quickly and i need help! Lol

U post in the UCLA subforum to ask which school to go to?

Your logic is flawed.

Flip a coin if you are LITERALLY torn.

Well yea, you’re right. Ill post in the davis forum to even it out

Go where you’ll be happy, pre-med is hard wherever you go and, and Davis might only be slightly easier than UCLA (it’s very underrated)

Thanks overachiever. Thats exactly what’s drawing me towards Davis, the fact that it might be easier on my GPA

go to davis; it will be one of the best decisions u have ever made.

Lol, no, I’m saying that’s exactly what shouldn’t be drawing you towards a school, the fact that it MIGHT be easy on your GPA. Davis is still almost as challenging as UCLA because you’re competing against pre-meds (arguably the most hard-working students at any university). If Davis is the place you love, by all means go there but don’t JUST do it for your GPA.

I would suggest going to a hospital

Flip a coin not to get a decision, but while the coin is in the air you will know what school you truely want

Way back when, UC Davis Biology or Pre-med was considered one of the hardest because you were competing with all the Pre-Veterinary school kids because Davis was the only Vet school in California. I am not sure if that is still true.

Razi,

Which school do you like more?

The fact is, most people will drop out of premed anyway, so choosing one based on that single criterion may be a huge mistake halfway through college.

The difference between UCLA and Davis in difficulty won’t be huge, but the difference in campus characteristics is huge.

" most people will drop out of premed anyway"

Thanks. But i dont plan on it

“Thanks. But i dont plan on it”

Nobody plans on failing, but they do.
Always have a backup plan.

Bio majors like myself are pretty much screwed if pre-med doesn’t work out, oh well, I can always become a forrester LOL

Razi,

I know at least a few people who said that in high school. Of them, only one is a med student or doctor right now (my wife.)

overachiever92,

Or you can go work in the private sector.
