I thought the third HP was by far the best in the series, and that this new movie, seemed like a series of "checkpoints" that needed to be hit b/c of their presence in the book. However, not much time in plot/character development was invested in these "checkpoints," and thus, to the average watcher, seems like a series of random events that apparently have no significance.

Hermione overacted terribly, she made like 15 facial expressions in each 5 sec. clip, Ron and Cedric were good, I'm starting to question Harry's acting skills in normal interaction scenes, and Dumbledor kept slipping in and out of character. I mean ***, I left feeling like I had wasted my 2 hour +. Read the book, the movie was alright.

Goblet of Fire is my favorite of the books, and the movie was fun, but I had a lot of problems with it. It was like they included everything in an attempt to please the fans, but because there was so much to include everything ended up being rushed. The whole Rita Skeeter thing for example, was stupid and pointless in the movie because it was so rushed.
The kid that plays Ron is a good actor; Harry is pretty bad.
Also, Fleur was not hot! You think they could have found a hot girl with a French accent instead of an anorexic-looking European model type. Geez : )

I thought the bottom half of Cedric's face looked squashed in. The scene with Voldemort was the best. The fight between Ron and Harry was cute. Hermione overacted again. Harry's acting skills are questionable. Rita Skeeter and the twins were HILARIOUS. And Dumbledore was the most annoying character in the movie. He's nothing like the one in the book.

Dumbledore seems like a child abuser in this movie. Cedric is (or was...whatever makes you happy) quite smashing. He's one hot hufflepuff...too bad he died. Couldn't understand the cho person...too heavy of a scottish accent...she was ordinary/average...wasn't pretty like the book described.

I loved it! But then, I love Harry Potter so it would have taken a lot to make me not like it.Parts really seemed rushed, but I mean, it's a long book, so I guess they wanted to fit it all in. And I thought they made Hermione seem like a really emotional character, which is not how she is in the books, she's a very strong person.
I thought the new cast members were all pretty good, except Fleur wasn't at all what I expected. I thought Cedric was SO fine, I love the whole english-school-boy look.
When the snake comes out in the beginning, I thought I was gonna have a heart attack, it was really creepy, it was just so large! I just can't help being afraid of snakes.
But anyway, I thought it was pretty good!
