Harvard admitted my friend 1960 sat

... but he's not going. Seriously do you guys want to be studying in a classroom where half your classmates think they;re going to become the next president? Oh and the black kid in the corner who thinks he's so smart just because he's in harvard - remind him that he only got in because of his ethnicity.

Please, my friend got in harvard with a 1960 while he totally BSed his essays and made himself appear like a little "intellectually curious" kid. THis just comes to show how much of a joke harvard is with their stupid motto "Veritas" when the only "veritas" they hold is that they are just pretentious kids who think they are the elite.

Good luck in harvard, I wish you best luck in becoming the next president along with half your student body. Mango shake anyone? What? You don't want it because I forgot to put a ivy league lavel on the glass? Yea, I thought so.

Someone’s got pent-up angst.

yeah ok man…if you got a harvard acceptance, lets see you turn it down. get real…youre just being petulant

such fire

so much passion that I know there isn’t any ■■■■■■■■ going on here

“Mango shake anyone? What? You don’t want it because I forgot to put a ivy league lavel on the glass? Yea, I thought so.”

HAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHAH. Remind me, what is the point of this thread, again?

geeze. GET OVER IT. affirmative action exists. either make yourself extraordinary and stand out as a white person/and or asian or pull a reverse Michael jackson and turn black.

Advice to OP: ■■■■■ harder.

such fire, such passion!

The perfect salsa dance…

You are a jealous HATER!!! You didn’t get in. Grow up and stop acting like a child!

Since when did wanting to become the president become a bad thing?

@jakolmaster: You obviously don’t have a very good opinion on Harvard. But do you think coming out to College Confidential and disgracefully disparaging the Harvard name or the Veritas symbol will do you any good or as a matter of fact Harvard any bad. I can personally vouch for the fact that almost everyone on the College Confidential forum has a certain degree of respect and appreciation for this one institution in Cambridge, Massachusetts that has truly lasted through the times. If you think otherwise, why don’t you be a bit more humble and get things sorted in a gentlemanly fashion?

I agree with harvard17. Making generalizations is never accurate. In Harvard, though you may encounter yourself with some snobs, you can also find very humble and simple people. I knew this Singaporean guy in this international conference who went to Harvard. He never told me so, he was humble about it, and I only found out when I added him to fb. Very simple and nice guy, which obviously proves that not everyone at Harvard is the same. This is also logical I think, since each human being is unique.

Don’t be so spiteful.

I think that the first step towards being President is dreaming about it. If you don’t SEE yourself there one day, you will never get there.

Also, you are being way too arrogant and snooty when you say that a ‘black’ kid gets into Harvard only because of his ethnicity. Sick!

That’s telling them! I’m sure everyone connected with Harvard feels very low now that you’ve set them straight.

As far as I understand, the only person who did not stick to the motto ‘Veritas’ is your friend. You cannot blame Harvard for trusting the applicant.

“Oh and the black kid in the corner who thinks he’s so smart just because he’s in harvard - remind him that he only got in because of his ethnicity.”

You mean Harvard has Affirmative Action? What a shocker! If you are going to confine your high esteem only to schools that do not practice Affirmative Action you are going to have pretty slim pickings.

I lol’d :D

For those of you who think that most black kids get into Harvard with 1960s you must be high. The black kids who get into any of these top schools (Harvard in particular) have stats that approach the normal applicant pool. That means at LEAST a 2100 in most cases, unless they are athletes - but then again it is not like White athletes have high scores either.

My father is black and went to Harvard and I bet most of you could not compare to to him intellectualy. He is fluent in six languages and is a world famous professor. So before you assume that every black guy at Harvard only got in because of affirmative action, think twice; you make yourself look like a racist ****** bag and you run the risk of sounding as ignorant as you are.

was your friend a recruited athlete?

also, your anger is kind of funny. and i don’t understand what the mango shake has to do with anything. lol.

He must be a recruited athlete. I think you’re jealous, and a little angry.

On the other hand, what you say is completely true. How many people on this site insult state schools? It sickens me. You people act like you’re better than everyone. You’re not.

Most people would be happy to go to Harvard, yes. I would. The point is, you’re not as special as you think you are. I think being the next president is a good example. The world doesn’t revolve around you, as much as you think it does.

Harvard is an amazing institution. I hold noting against the university. The OP is correct to say that someone wouldn’t take a drink because it didn’t have the Ivy label on the glass, though. I think he just means that he is tired of stuck of jerks.

Wanting to be the next president is a fine and dandy goal. People get ahead of themselves though. Out of all the people on this site who say they will go for PhD’s etc., how many will actually do that? Maybe one of you will become president. The first thing you need to do in order to win the people’s vote is not be an elitist. You are ungrateful kids that have no idea how the real world works.

I used to have the same mindset of people on this website, until I realized that high schoolers are unrealistic in their futures. You can’t plan your life! It’s impossible.
