Why would anyone EVER want to drink a mango shake??!!?? Mango lassi is CLEARLY more delicious!

Real Americans drink chocolate milk shakes. Bonus points if it’s malted.

@jakolmaster why do you hate Harvard so much? Did the school reject you?
Harvard has a lot of qualified applicants of many different ethnicities that they would not just accept a person for their race!
And why are you so rude about having a future president in your class? Wouldn’t that be a honour to know them?

Honestly, a 1960 is not the average Harvard Score. I’m in 8th grade, and I already got a combined score of 2010. But still, don’t be discouraging your friend. Maybe he is special in some other way that the SAT can’t determine. So lay off a bit. You’re just jealous because he got in and you didn’t. And by the way, you’re coming off as racist!! Sure, they look for diversity, but there are plenty of Black people at Harvard that got there because of their intelligence!!

@natim 1: Mango lassi is the best! I think I might go get one tomorrow. Yum yum.

@ mathsciencedude… hahahahaha why did you LOL?

This whole thread reeks of intellectual void. Shame on you, and I mean most of you, not just the OP. It’s amazing how some very smart people on this board will resort to anecdotal arguments (“My father is black and went to Harvard and I bet most of you could not compare to to him intellectualy. He is fluent in six languages and is a world famous professor.” - Oh yeah, you showed him!) and irrelevant labellings (yeah, the OP does come off as an idiot, but to make the leap that he is a racist you have to make a lot of dubious assumptions).

This is why we can’t have nice things on CC.

Macarenaps, I thought that was satire.

You made a generalization by saying that all generalizations are never accurate. :)

i, for one, agree with monster344.

this thread was stupid until mathsciencedude posted. I also lol’d.

I hope you all realize that white women have benefited more from affirmative action than any other minority group.

Note that I didn’t bother replying to the OP. The OP is a dumbass and a ■■■■■.

While this isn’t necessarily true anymore, a study was released a few years back that showed that students who scored at the 92nd percentile had the same chances of admission as those that scored at the 98th percentile. This means that your friends’ 1960 (92nd percentile) is not much different than someone else’s 2150 (to Harvard). Of course, this is most likely false nowadays, so, yea…

Same here. That was hilarious!

Lol hahahahaha

Alright laugh, mock, insult me. I admit, I am jealous of the student who got in Harvard with his horrible stats and his amazing bullshi**ing skills but hey, who wouldn’t be jealous of a Harvard admit?

I really hope Harvard, and all other ivy league or ivy league level schools reform their admissions process. I understanding admitting a student with a 2200 over a 2300 but a 1960?? Come on that’s just not fair, whether he’s black or not.

We have no idea what this applicant was like in his/her entirety except the OP perhaps. Perhaps he or she had glowing recommendations, insightful essays, nice extracurriculars…who knows? Someone should not be relegated to the weight of an SAT score, in my opinion. But oh well, I guess. By the way, good luck to everyone else :-).

I think (am pretty sure) that this is all BS. So stop posting please? let this thread die the dishonourable death it deserves. Though well picked up mathsciencedude

Agreed. What’s done is done. For the rest of us all, we still have 12 days left. Perhaps the wait is frying our brains? lol just kidding

perhaps it is… LONGEST STUPID MONTH OF MY LIFE

I am trying to occupy myself with scholarship applications and reading smh…hey, at least it is an attempt lol
