***Harvard Class of 2019 Applicants Discussion/Decisions***

Even if the interview does not weigh heavily in the applicant package, it is a valuable experience to go through a college interview. Many schools do not do applicant interviews (anymore). One of the things about Harvard that attracted my daughter was the long history of the college and all the traditions that go along with that kind of history. Getting an interview, which has a feel of being a traditional activity for college applicants, was another way to connect to that feeling of tradition (even though the interview was in a very modern Starbucks in Asia rather than an old wood paneled office at Harvard that she might imagine). She was deferred SCEA, and we know her Harvard dream is likely just that, a dream, but the interview was a really good experience for her.

I think interviews are only relevant when you’re a borderline or they need to break ties. But an outright horrible interview would reject you.

That being said, if one hasn’t been contacted for an interview at this point, is it too late? I would love to have one.

I know for a fact that for countries with a limited number of alumni, interviews are selective and really only take place during the months of February and March.

Just got accepted to University of Virginia which is perfect for my international relations major but still having some hope for my deferral from Harvard! Also interviews hold no weight unless you are an obvious serial killer or Billy Crystal.

@zoology524178: are you a graduating senior right now? I thought you were aiming at Ohio state? Or are you sharing the account of that OSU student and you’re currently a Freshman in Harvard? I’m confused

Oh no I’m a senior in high school. Got into OSU as back up

Has anyone in Zoology gotten accepted yet? If so, what are your stats? Mine are 25 ACT, many EC’s, 3.2 GPA, but raised GPA from 2.7 to 3.2 my junior year

Deleting your previous post about was accepted to Harvard?

Are you still declaring that OSU is your “back up” to being accepted Early Action to Harvard?

Don’t pull people’s legs @zoology524178. Doing more of that will get you put on the naughty bench. Joking about your EA accept to Harvard with a 3.2 GPA … that’s just rude and you know it.

hey guys! Another “Hahvad” applicant here  anyone know when they’ll announce the date of decisions?

idk march? late march? im guessing.

@TheRedBangle I am a deferree from Harvard SCEA. In the letter I received in December, it says that admission decisions for the RD round will be released March 31st 2015.

Actually, I deleted it.

Thank you for the info!

Hello! I’m another deferred applicant  It’s nice reading through threads like these because it helps knowing there are other people in the same boat, especially because I’m an international student. I don’t know anyone who has ever applied to America so it’s all a bit daunting  I’m looking forward to getting to know all of you

Finally contacted for an interview!

When do harvard decisions come out?

SO EXCITED

we’ve made it through January only Feb and March to go!

Hey guys, has anyone received an IDOC notification yet?

@123whatever Yes, I received an IDOC notification on Monday.

Oh, thanks @suithiopia97 ! I just want to get all this financial aid stress over with… I hope I receive the email soon.
