How important are class ranks in the Harvard decisions? I’m ranked right at 2.5 percent, and am worried about if this will affect my application negatively.
Would this be an appropriate thread to give a brief description of myself and see what others think of my admissions chances?
The rank is fine. More than half of US HS’s do not assign an ordinal rank to their students, so Harvard is not going to parse 2.5% vs. 1%. That said, grads and rank are just one piece of the application.

Does anyone know when the committee is done making decisions? do they make decisions right up to Dec 13th?
Have you guys noticed that in other schools’ forums/years CC folks have made a pledge of sorts to fill out this template in the results thread (http://talk.qa.collegeconfidential.com/harvard-university/1939648-harvard-class-of-2021-results-only-thread.html#latest)? I think we should do this because if not, usually the majority of people who do fill it out have positive outcomes, which skews the reality of selective college admissions.
What do you guys think about doing this? I think it would be helpful to future students if they could see as many results as possible!

Caveat - though I created the results thread, how soon or late I post my results depends on the outcome on Dec 13th. Hope I get to post it at 501pm!

I already typed up some of my information in the Harvard SCEA 2021 thread and saved it as a draft; I will fill out the remaining parts when I get my decision.
I’ll check it when my mom gets home from work, so probably around 5:15-5:30 (maybe later. It just depends).
