I’ll do it!! I’m probably getting deferred but I feel like results are so helpful for future people who are in the same situation as us, you get a sense of what kinds of grades and stuff you need to get in
Hey guys, so I have (somewhat) of a legacy cause of my dad but I just realized my dad put his education info w/ Harvard in the Parents’ education section and not specifically in the Harvard part of the app (apologies if that is not v clear). I am not even sure whether there was a section within the Harvard app for legacy (or maybe there was and I missed it in my state of foolishness). Has anyone else applied legacy? Was there such a box / tab to fill in such info? I’m anyways calling H up in a bit but lol I think I’m gonna have an anxiety attack hahah… Any help is greatly appreciated.
@katz2410 - no specific question re: legacy in the H app. They will notice from the parent section.
MODERATOR’S NOTE:
Create a separate thread for this guys; there’s enough crap in this thread as it is. 14 pledges deleted.
Uptil when does the Committee make its decisions? Is the process on till the very last day?
@iamrebus They generally have made the decisions. For internationals, they’ll probably make it around December 10, followed by preparation of packages for mail.
P.S: They are just my assumptions.
I actually heard, that decisions for URM’s, Recruited athletes and internationals are made before every one else’s. apparently they meet different benchmarks from the regular applicant pool.
I see @intellectboy

Just found out that I’ll be interviewing with an alumnus tomorrow. Any applicants have tips? I’ve always been awful at interviews.
@TheCrimsonBulldog It’s the most cliched advice, but be yourself. Today, try to plan out what you want to talk about and make sure that what you talk about isn’t just a rehash of your application. At the same time, don’t over-prepare and memorize your responses, because you’ll sound forced and insincere. During the interview, try to find something in common between you and your interviewer and talk about that. Good luck!
@TheCrimsonBulldog for REA or for RD?
@SSundee REA. I wasn’t expecting to get an interview, as it’s already so late in the season, but here I am.
@TheCrimsonBulldog , good luck!
Hey - someone in the Princeton thread mentioned that several people reported on this thread that they are applying to H SCEA because of Malia Obama. I am not sure if I missed reading those posts. Just curious - for how many of you is Malia Obama a motivation to have applied to H SCEA?
I’m sorry if this was asked before, but how do they evaluate interview reports?
@MedSciBud for me, it is not a huge consideration but worth to want to study with her.
@MedSciBud I think I might have read all the posts, but I don’t remember reading any about people wanting to go to Harvard for Malia. for me personally, I heard that she would be attending and it was a mild negative just because it would suck to be in the shadow of someone like that, but it was my first choice nevertheless.
@barackhussein - I don’t remember seeing any such posts either, but someone mentioned it today in the Princeton thread, so I was curious. Plus - gives us a reason to talk about something else, but still related to Harvard!
