@MedSciBud @stresstasticlife Thanks!
Anyone know if Harvard will send out an email detailing how to access the decision? Anyone with past experience know if it’s just posted on the portal?
@Ohiomom6 - please see post #721 from a parent of a last year accepted applicant
I just tried to log onto the status portal (paranoid, I know) but my account, which definitely existed earlier because I have logged onto it, apparently doesn’t exist anymore. Is anyone else having this problem?
@beowolves - check and see if you are entering your email address correctly. It should be the same as what you use on Common App.
@Ohiomom6 Also read post #749. Another parent said that H changed it up a little bit after that, though (read #761).
@MedSciBud yeah I was actually using the link from my email to the portal too, so it is the right address…eek! We’ll see if it fixes itself haha
Thank you @IntoTheWoods.
We have the decision release date, time, and method - all three mysteries!
@beowolves - I checked mine and I am able to login. Try clearing your cache or try logging in from a different browser or computer.
Oh, figured out what happened. Apparently Harvard changed my email address, but I’m still able to log in with my old password, just using a really weird email. Strange, but whatever. Thanks @MedSciBud!
I’m so anxious guys
@beowolves - glad you were able to figure it out. You may want to call them first thing tomorrow and get the email address corrected, because all communication will go to whatever email address they have on file. Or if that weird email address is still available to be taken - go ahead and take it, but call them anyways.
@theriightwei Same here! I’m having trouble focusing on my other work. How did applicants from last year know what date the decisions for SCEA were going to be released?
Hey guys I have a question. I took the ACT last December and sent my score to Harvard immediately. I took it again this past June and I sent that score to Harvard mid-October. On my applicant portal, it says my ACT score was received in December 2015, does this mean they haven’t gotten my ACT score from June yet? The ACT website says it was sent to them, but I’m just confused because the date on the portal still says December. Do they maybe say when they got the first score and just didn’t tell me they got the other one? Or is it likely that they didn’t get it?
How often do you guys think the admissions office sees applicants wanting to pursue neuroscience? I know it’s not a “unique” science, and is definitely gaining popularity, but it’s one of the biggest hooks I have(6/9 of my ECs are neuroscience-related). Does Harvard admit applicants to bolster specific majors/labs?
Got a facebook notification to join the Harvard community?? What does this mean…
Nope. Zero percent chance. THe Ivy League schools do not issue decisions in the early round on a common date, so the fact that LY Cornell and Harvard released on the same date means nothing.
@MedSciBud yep, I’ll do both of those things. Thanks!
Would it be too much to ask what time results might be coming out?
