Harvard Class of 2021 SCEA Applicants Discussion

@katz2410 Perhaps Y and S (not sure if i will have time for them)

I live in MA and visited Harvard + hang out sometimes somewhere close when I go with friends to the city. I’ve lived in the U.S. for 4 years now, but originally I’m from Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan. Applying for Mathematics, but also noted that it’s highly likely that I would change that :slight_smile: Currently considering perhaps double-majoring in something that is like math or stats or econ + some kind of humanities class. Decided to apply SCEA to Harvard after going on the official visit: I fell in love with the vibe of it all!

Have you received the Early Decision email link yet?

Can’t wait for that deferral letter

Couldn’t agree more @fedfan1998 , at least it would motivate me to work harder for RD. Let’s just hope it’s not going to be a rejection.

@T26E4 @MedSciBud

Do you know to whom or where updates uploaded to the Applicant Status Portal are sent? I just uploaded a really important addition, and although decisions are likely made, I would like to know the probability it is AT LEAST read.

@Theoddorre I feel, bro/sis.

@fedfan1998 I think you can always either try to call the admissions office or send them an email. I wouldn’t encourage you to send an email though, I sent one a week ago and it just came yesterday, plus the answer was not relevant to my question.

@pineapple86 - I know of at least one other person who applied SCEA to Harvard.
@fedfan1998 - I am not an expert, but IMO, all uploaded documents go to the fileroom. After that? I have no idea. Good luck.
@Savi428 - don’t understand your question. In your other posts, you have yourself stated that H’s decisions are likely to come out on Dec 13th, but you are asking today about it? Also FYI - H does not have ED.

To answer you question @MedSciBud he applied Early Action. Secondly, Im aware of the date, but we havent received the email notification, as of today. Is there an issue with me asking such questions? This is a link where you can pose questions, correct?

@Savi428 - thank you for the clarification.
No - H has not sent out any emails and they usually don’t send out emails till after the decisions are released.
No - there is no problem asking questions, but your question just seemed to come across like you received an email and asking if others did - might have been just me misreading it (I saw the question posted 3 times and I personally started panicking!).
All is well now. We are all in wait pattern. The best guess is Dec 13th, but even that is not confirmed.

Quick question: Do your guys’ portals just say “SAT or ACT Official Test Scores” or do they say the specific date you took the test?

@pineapple86 - just “SAT or ACT Official Test Scores” - but I submitted only one. If you submitted both - not sure how it is supposed to show up.
In addition, if you submitted SAT IIs, those are listed - one per line.

@MedSciBud My SAT IIs are listed individually. I submitted two ACT scores.

I guess there’s no point in worrying about this now :slight_smile:

@pineapple86 I submitted 2 SAT scores, and only one appears. You’re fine :slight_smile:

@pineapple86 - as long as your ACT account shows that it has been sent, you have nothing to worry about. And yes - it is too late to worry about it even otherwise - for EA! Good luck. Hang in there.

Why are we the only ones without actual dates? xD I mean, most of the colleges who said decisions would come out by mid-Dec sent emails to give the exact day, but H did not send anything. Man, the suspense…

@pineapple86 10 people applied to Harvard from my school :((( and 6 of them have legacy, they are some big names too. RIP me haha

Wow @Clareesi, best of luck to you! Try not to worry about the other kids :slight_smile:

@pineapple86 Thanks!!! You too! I honestly think everyone is so qualified, we should all get innn
