I do believe that the acceptance rate will be very, very low this year for Harvard. I think there were probably a ton of people applying to Harvard because of Malia Obama.
I predict that Harvard will have the lowest acceptance rate this year, and I feel like Stanford’s acceptance rate will go up because of Brock Turner and the negative publicity he brought to the school.

I agree with @DoctorMD ; the same thing happened last year for UC Berkeley. A TON of students in my area were waitlisted but then accepted because a lot of kids dropped out after the scandals surrounding Berkeley’s admin.

I agree about the Stanford acceptance rate. However, I find it incredibly hard to believe that people (let alone qualified candidates) decided to apply to Harvard solely for the purpose of seeing Malia Obama.

@stresstasticlife definitely agreed–but I just don’t think people who were planning on applying elsewhere would change JUST for that! I definitely wouldn’t! Although I definitely have wondered what it would be like if she was my roommate.
With 1395 posts on this thread - I have not heard of even one person applying to H because of Malia!

I really would like to attend school with Malia. Honestly, I find her super attractive, although she’s clearly way out of my league and stands three inches taller than me lol.
@DeeperBlue25 - till last year - based on reading the other threads - H has released results on Thursdays at 5pm. This time, however, we are expecting it to be released on Tuesday. That is based on a Crimson article. The only other type of confirmation we have is from a veteran CC poster @T26E4 - who mentioned in a post earlier today that he heard from a reliable source that it will be 5pm tomorrow.
