Is is possible for a non athlete applicant to get notified early of admission? I ask this because a girl at my school claims to have been accepted already, but i do not think it is possible. Or is it? Thanks

It’s possible, but unlikely. I haven’t heard of likely letters getting sent before Jan 1, though.

It’s definitely possible. Joint Ivy Agreement says that Likely Letters can be issued starting Oct 1st.

Harvard does issue non-athletic LLs, absolutely. OP: please tell us – in your opinion is this girl a superstar among superstars?

I ran across one Harvard non-athlete likely letter recipient. She eventually won a Rhodes.

EDIT: Okay fancy pants. You posted the same question on the Princeton forum. Which one is it? Harvard or Princeton?

T26E4, i explained myself in the princeton forum, but basically yea there are two girls I know making two seperate claims, claims that they started making on the same day. And yea the girl saying shes in at Harvard is very bright and I always thought she could get in but not a " superstar" by any means. I always thought you had to be some superhero to get a likely but stranger things have happened I guess.

Hmmmm… then I think your suspicions are true. Like I said, I’ve only met one non-athlete LL recipient.

She got one from both Harvard and Yale. I interviewed her (it was basically a recruiting interview since she had the LL in hand). She was frankly, quite noisome and I’m glad she didn’t attend our school! LOL
