It might be nothing to worry about. I was interviewed, but then I was not interviewed for freshman admission. This might be the reason.

I don't know...we'll see in 10 days most likely :)
Do you know what percentage of the admitted transfer international students got interview and what % don't ? (is it 100-0 or 50-50? ) Thanks

i'm an international and i had an interview. i know bumpitybum also had an interview and is an international.

well I guess if u r an international transfer schooling in the U.S it'll be pretty easy for them to set one up for u- don't know the stats tho- and no, I don't think it's too late for people to get interviewed cos my interviewer just turned in her report on me today to harvard and the adcom wasn't freaking out or nethin-

if harvard interviews two hundred applicants out of a thousand and about a hundred internationals apply, I will presume that they'll interview about twenty intels using the same ratio n reasoning- might not make sense but twenty or less-

ok, yes I go to school here at US. But honestly I don't think they will contact anyone for an interview on at this point - it's May 8th... Do you know anyone who was accepted as transfer from US without interview at all?

d'u mean any international transfer/u.s citizen transfer?

I think people said earlier in this thread that a good number of people are accepted without an interview. Those that are "on the cusp" might be granted an interview, to tip the scale one way or another.

right- I was going to mention that as well-

and it might even be bad cos I think if u have a fifty-fifty chance of getting in and u get interviewed, bombing it(like me) is going to completely ruin your admissions chances- I wish I didn't get one cos then, at least I wudn't know the reason why I was rejected- I don't think my interviewer liked me very much-

bummppttity you sound totally imprssive i seriously doubt you bombed your interview.

are there any other international applicants from canada here?

also, two people i know received their admissions letters on the 21st... it seems early, but they live in the U.S. and probably received their letters in the mail much earlier than international applicants.

The decisions were e-mailed on the 18th.

For Shaganov: Thanks but trust me, I did ramble a lot plus she asked some question about the lawrence summers controversy that I totally bombed- I don't even want to get into it! Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhh! Gud luck everyone tho! You guys all sound incredibly smart- I hope as many ccers as possible get in!

Ha! That's interesting. What did they ask you about Summers? Did you have to take a side or something?

Yeah...I was just going to say...why would they be questioning applicants to comment on Summers? haha. I would think they would want to shove all that dust under the rug.

interviews are VERY important for Harvard!
my brother is in his first year to Harvard and we are pretty much convinced that his interview was a huge part of his admission.

lol! not really,- I think she just wanted to know how much about harvard I knew- so she was like, "what do you think about the recent controversy n harvard?" and in my head I'm like that's such a general question!
I was thinking about the ophal mehta gurl mostly though, so I was like " the controversy about lawrence summers?" and she's like uhuh- and I basically only knew about his statement against female harvard faculty members and afterwards I just blanked out- Gosh, she must have thot I was really dumb!

Haha, I wouldn't worry too much about it. It sounds like she was maybe just using that as a springboard for conversation -- not necessarily expecting you to know all the details of the story.

ha! I wish! she looked totally unimpressed! I shud have read the harvard crimson for two months straight before the interview!
