Got a call asking about current grades as well.
Did you guys have a downward trend in grades 1st semester?
@wdymcollege no, I was quite stable. the thing is I took the IB in November, they called asking about final results. I had already self-reported them tho, I think it was just to confirm
I was deferred REA ad got a AO interview during the last week of February. @01lennie
highly regret putting my race down for such a racist university
My situation is a little different because school is still in session. I think it means we’re under serious consideration because they took the time to call but obviously that doesn’t mean that we’re going to get in. Let’s hope for the best!
@wdymcollege @01lennie @user9999
Slightly unrelated, but Columbia University also contacted my school counselor a few weeks back. I have a fairly detailed thread about it on my profile.
The gist of it, Columbia only asked about me. I hope it’s a good sign! My grades haven’t declined either but I’m hoping a call/email that late can only mean good.
Best of luck to you both!!
I heard AO interviews signify a good sign since an applicant is under serious consideration. Did any of you whose counselor was contacted have an AO interview
Did anyone get an email feom Harvard about their decision release date? I got one from the rest of the ivys but not Harvard
3.4 GPA, and 35 ACT. About to be REJECTED!!
Yolo, Harvard or bust!
Best of wishes to everyone tomorrow. My daughter had an interview with an alumni in Maine the last week in January. Do you think it matters if the interview was conducted by an alumni rather than an admissions officer?
I have started a thread for Ivy Day decisions (no stats)…
I did not upload midyear report ( diff school system) . There was always an unchecked circle beside the mid year report on my portal but today it is gone. Any clue?
Did anyone get a call today from ‘No caller ID’?
If anyone is super anxious, I suggest looking over your application and seeing how good it is! You took your best shot and everything will work out and you will end up where you are supposed to be : )
Hi everyone! Current Harvard freshman here, just dropping in to say hi and good luck! I know this is a super nerve wracking time filled with so much stress, pressure, and uncertainty, but please know that, no matter what happens, you will be okay and you will find happiness! Not to sound cliche or hypocritical, but once you arrive at whatever college you end up at, the name or status of the school matters soooo much less. I love Harvard, but I genuinely believe that any school can offer an incredible academic and social experience that will set you up for success if you make the most of it. Also, no matter how much you analyze your applicant profile and compare yourself to others, Harvard chooses students for a huge variety of reasons that are really hard to predict ! I know people here who got 1600s on the SAT and people with 27s on the ACT, but, at the end of the day, the people who get in are those who they see as being good fits for the community. Sending virtual hugs and positive vibes to everyone, feel free to reach out if you get in with any questions, or if you don’t to have a confidential shoulder to lean on! (:
@ellieweb do you know anyone at harvard that got a 1220 on the SAT?
No. But I found a link for 1270.
Was anybody here planning on taking caies in may/june? what yall gonna do since they cancelled it?
