Though I’m not, I think it’s pretty cool that Harvard’s jumping into theater.
I did not apply for the Theatre, Dance, and Media concentration specifically, but I expressed strong interest in the program (hopefully as a secondary if that’s possible) @Honeyraven
42 days left!
@zoomloom I’m not entirely sure, but, I would assume within the next few weeks considering the interviews need to be considered within the application.
@TheWaffleMan149 : Is Ivy day always on April 1st and does some school release earlier decision on March 31st? I saw that Harvard says late March so…
Generally all the Ivies release decisions on March 31st. I believe there have been years when they have released them earlier because the 31st falls on a weekend, but this year I would expect to hear back on the 31st. Don’t set your hopes on anything sooner.
I’m preparing for a rejection letter as I know the chances are very slim. If I didn’t get in, I’ll still be happy and sad. Sad that I couldn’t get into my favorite school but happy that I had applied and did not regret applying.
@idislikethesats Did you do that through the common app or your interview? I thought the common app was really general in asking what the applicant wanted to study at Harvard (“humanities,” “social sciences,” etc.,). I think I put down Humanities at the time. Did I miss something where you could express your interest in a specific concentration?
Its definitely the 31st, the Ivies always release RD on the same day. Just a matter of what time that day is all
@Bleu2020 : I think Harvard is March 31st. I checked Dartmouth’s website and they say early April so not all Ivies release their decision on the same day. However, they very well maybe releasing them consecutively on March 31st and April 1st.
The Ivies will release on the same day. Always do per their written agreement with each other.
Cheer up guys! who knows? maybe we’ll all get in LOL.
@rahuilmars231 LOL NO
Not me, at least. My stats are quite low for H.
@rahuilmars231 I can see it now.
“This applicant has not cured cancer and has not won an olympic medal.”
“I agree Ed, this kid should be rejected, and sent a personalized rejection letter stating that he is the least qualified applicant we have ever seen!”
Ladies and gentlemen, the eternal pessimist in me
@TheWaffleMan149 We share a love for sardonic humour.
@aBitOfLuck Indeed! With a 95% rejection/waitlist rate, there is not too much of me that wants to be optimistic about my chances
@TheWaffleMan149 Oh come on. You’ll send me a personally prepared crate of scrumptious waffles on the day you’re accepted. I’m certain. :*
@rahuilmars231 Hopefully “a bit of luck” will grace us all.
@XoXdreamerXoX As long as you’re above a 2200, you’re fine in the SAT. They’ll obviously look beyond your stats Stay positive. XOXO XD
@rahuilmars231 If I am accepted to Harvard, my brain might explode from being overwhelmed with happiness
But it just won’t happen. I appreciate your confidence in me
@rahuilmars231 …they’re below that. Lolol. But thanks for being so positive.
Like…my scores were below ND’s 25th percentile but I ended up getting a likely letter, so I guess anything is possible now. Maybe even flying pigs, haha.
