I got deferred, so here I am!
@schroscat @cheerleader16 You guys gonna try to submit any xtra stuff like recs or anything like that ? Or do we get a more-in depth look at b/c of REA? Probably not, huh…
RD applicant from India. Was supposed to EA to Harvard, but I felt that my app could be better in time for RD. One of my friends got in REA. Really happy for him
Guys, does that it matter that no one from my school has ever gotten into Harvard, Yale or Princeton? People have only gotten into Columbia, UPENN, Brown, Cambridge, London School of Economics… just not the Ivy League’s Holy Trinity (HYP). Does that disadvantage me in any way?
@schroscat @cheerleader16 @flautamagica Deferred as well. Are you over it yet?
@LymanZerga I’m going to be submitting supplemental info and hope for the best. I don’t think we get a more close look because of SCEA.
@goldenmaster I’m not over it I’m still really sad, which I know is dumb because they really fill early with what they deem to be “priority” applicants but still
How soon did you get your interview after you submitted your application?
@MariaScott – current Harvard freshman here. My school never had anyone from the Ivies either. I don’t think it matters at all!
Wheeee! Howdy RD. I’m from SCEA.
Hullo! RD from Korea. Was at the amherst thread, but got rejected unfortunately. Oh well, at least I’ll get a chance to apply to other schools
Yo! Deferred Penn ED, applying here RD
Hey guys, I’m applying RD as well. I had a question about the optional supplemental essay. Are you guys submitting something or not? Also, is it beneficial to submit an Arts portfolio?
I have my interview tomorrow AHH!!
@emtfxc good luck!!!
@emtfxc - Good luck!. Let us know how it goes and possibly the questions as well
May I request others in this forum, who have had interviews provide their feedback and questions asked with any suggestions or recommendations?
Thanks everyone!! I had a great interview- I think my best yet! He asked me about my activities, some current world events, where I see myself in ten years, my grades, my schedule, my favorite teacher, and what I look for in a college. He even said that that interview would be “hard to follow”- I hope it’s a good sign!
Deferred ED to Penn as well. Looking forward to having my soul crushed by Harvard in the coming months.
Good luck to everyone with Harvard.
From what I have seen, Harvard seems to be doing their interviews quite differently than others. SO, it would be sincerely appreciated from forum members, if they could provide feedback on their interview process, questions, etc.
