@kuriosmind I didn’t put a title for my common application essay. I don’t think it matters either way if you put a title or not. To me, it seems redundant since they already provided us with a prompt.
I didn’t put a title for either of my essays
I didn’t realize that’s a thing
@flautamagica I didn’t put a title for my essays either, but since Harvard’s optional essay doesn’t have a specific prompt, I think you could put a title for it.
Rejected from Stanford REA. Maybe Harvard will acknowledge my strengths and potential… [-O<
Stop trlling no one thinks it’s funny except you
I don’t think admissions officers have even begun viewing the RD applications yet, so it’s unlikely that they’ve sent out early acceptances already.
Is there any RD applicant who has got an acceptance letter?
No RD applicants are going to receive any letter until end of March, they literally JUST sent out admissions decisions last week for SCEA. Still have a long way to go people!!
@flautamagica - Thanks for pointing it out.
Deferred from Princeton, but I know what the real prize is. HARVARD 2020 =D>
@RoadtotheIvies98 Haha I was deferred from Yale. I hope Harvard will see our potential!
Harvard’s “open-endness” in their essay has made it the most difficult app I’ve done so far. I have been stuck for 2-3 days in trying to think of a topic to write of.
How long were your optional essays? Mine was short and sweet, around 200 words.
@Sal3602 mine is about 550 words. How long were your extracurricular activities essays? Mine was around 150 words since I’m using the same ones for other colleges, but Harvard doesn’t have a limit so I don’t know if they expect it to be longer?
Submitted my app today! My EC essay was 146 words long and my optional essay was 538 words long.
Has anyone been invited to a Harvard Holiday Party for freshman applicants?
Whose had their interview already?
Did all of you do optional essays?
I did, and I believe most, if not all people here did as well
