haha, yeah, i know it's later for the weekends, though i dunno what the times are exactly...and yes, i'm indian, it was a good observation on your part :-P. I take it you are indian as well, by the New Jersey location and the love of Bollywood, yes?

Thanks for the help. I'm slightly nervous about the whole thing.

Haha, yup. Indian body slam I'm in a very non-Indian part of New Jersey though.

haha, well, the bollywood gave it away nonetheless...don't think anyone outside of india in their right mind would put that down, unless they had a strange obsession with repetitive musicals :-P And no problem about the help, I remember how nervous I was before I went, so anything else you have that I can help you with, just let me know. Later

A lot of white people where I live (Seattle) like bollywood movies/music. But I guess that's just because it's Seattle and people are weird here.

Books of Hours Seminar

so...im uberexcited kiddies! i've found a couple thayer people but noooo books of hours people. help?

here's a question...

what are y'all doing for books? i have a list of required and then a list of suggested. required i can get at a library, suggested i can't. I don't want to waste money, but I wan't to have what I need also. I think i'll probably get most of them from the library and then hit the coop to pick up the rest. Is anyone doing that crimson cash or coop membership stuff? just wondering...trying to get myself in order...

guys: i'm so excited.

I bought my textbooks off of half.com and amazon. Unfortunately I managed to purchase two of the same textbook needed for Practical Japanese due to a labeling issue on one of the sites. If anyone needs a copy of that book let me know!

But anyways, I do recommend amazon and half.com for used books. Just make sure you inquire about exactly what you're buying and check for edition numbers, etc. From what I've heard about the COOP, they do sell used books but you're likelier to find cheaper prices elsewhere.

I haven't got a textbook list at all. Is anyone else taking Anthropology and education for short seesion 1?

how can we get a textbook list?
thanks!!

If you look up your courses on the SSP website many of them have links to a syllabus directly beneath the course name. It shows the course schedule, expectations, and somewhere in there has the required texts.

If we do not have an online syllabus available, how/when do we know which texts we need? Do we have to buy them there?

are there n e upperclassman in canaday such as rising juniors????

By rising junior do you mean will be a junior next year? In which case, I would fit in that category.

i mean rising juniors who are going to be seniors...so at the beginning of the 06-07 school year you will b a senior

okay so can anyone help me out quickly, I can't find my course book list? And I would really like to order the books here, I don't want to pay for them there. The classes I'm taking are Mobile Robot and Embedded Programming and Principles of Economics: Microeconomics. The second is really popular, especially for fellow CC.

I ordered my textbook on Sunday off half.com and it's expected to be here in a couple days. My course had a website that I got to from the SSP website. The textbook was listed there.

The course textbooks are listed in the course syllabus or in the course website. These can be found by clicking on the respective links located underneath the course title on the course description page. I have looked up your two courses online, and neither has the syllabus or website for that course posted. Therefore, I would recommend you wait until you get there to buy the textbooks.

If there was some way for you to contact the instructors, you could simply ask them personally; however, I don't believe their email addresses or other contact information would be online if their syllabi aren't online either. Good luck!

My name is BJ
I am a rising Jr.
I am in canaday F-24

I cannot seem to find what text books I need for intro to political Philosophy and Writing on social and ethical issues classes. Help would be great, also does anyone know the SN of prometheus9690 because I do believe he is my room mate and I would like to get in touch with him. Thanks

If you are taking "Writing on Social and Ethical Issues" from Mary Elizabeth Basile, then your textbooks are can be found here.

However, I am not sure if all the professors use the same textbooks, so I wouldn't purchase the textbooks if you are taking the class from a different teacher.

Intro to Political Philosophy doesn't have a syllabus or website posted, so I can't help you there.

if they go by last year, all the juniors are separated from the seniors, and are all put in one dorm...but lord knows if they changed that this year. barring change, only you juniors (a great number of you appear to be anyways) are to be relegated to Canaday.
