Harvard SSP

Referencing last year's handbook:

11pm Sunday-Thursday

1230am Friday and Saturday nights

Not too bad, since it's an entryway curfew, which I'm guessing means we don't necessarily have to be in our rooms, just in our entryways, and certainly not asleep.

ewww 12:30 that sucks... hmm anyone want to try sneaking out with me?

Of course. Lets get wasted on campus, kicked out of SSP, blacklisted for college admission, and work at McDonald's. I'm in, who else?

alright, sneaking out's not as big a deal as the rest of them, if you do it well. A friend of mine came to our entryway in Straus just about every day, and only got caught once. When she got caught, all that happened was a nice yelling at, it wasn't such nasty consequences. But yeah, I'll note, drinking on campus is beyond dumbass...so many people got kicked out last year, it was rather depressing...it's just not worth messing with, trust me. Just find a friend at MIT's summer program and get wasted with him/her ;-)

hey I'm Sarah...I'm going to be a high school junior next year, live in michigan and am also going to harvard ssp this summer...I'm going to be in Canaday Hall room C54.....I just would love to talk to anyone else who is going! :)

im in matthews 104, taking noir antihero and astrobiology

for those of you with myspace who havent already heard, there is a group there, with 44 memebers right now

<a href="http://groups.myspace.com/harvard2006%5B/url%5D">http://groups.myspace.com/harvard2006</a></p>

i recognize a few of the people on this thread from there

this will be a great summer

one question

the movie nights on sat or whenever

free?

because i got a ticket to one in the mail, but i wasnt sure if that was just giving us the first one free or if its representative of the rest.

feel free to im me on fjoekjui, but tell me youre going to ssp so i know you arent a random weirdo

mr chakravarthy: dude what an indian thing to say. exactly how my parents would put it!

Why thank you sir. My parents prefer the term "flipping burgers for eternity", but thats just them. If anyone would like to lift weights 6 or 7 nights (or mornings) a week, please let me know. Conditioning is always better with a group. AIM, PM or talk to me there. Canaday-E34.

Well actually i'm a girl but whatever. And my parents say that too. any mistake means that you will be flipping burgers. there's no grey area at all in terms of proffessions. either you're a doctor/lawyer/engineer or you ask "would you like fries with that?"

My bad. But I agree totally. Mickey D's it is.

Hey I'm going to the SSP and taking Intermediate japanese---anybody else taking this course? Or, more likely, what are the language courses like? intense? I know it includes a lot of class (20 hours/week.........)

uh yeah, that ticket thing's pretty dimwitted...the movie's are free, you just need your ID there to get in...

thats cool.........because i lost my ticket :p

Ugh, I have to study for finals... and I'm leaving the day after school ends, so I must pack for Harvard this weekend.

Anyway, I cannot find any information about my textbook either. My course (<a href="http://www.summer.harvard.edu/2006/courses/32013.jsp%5B/url%5D">http://www.summer.harvard.edu/2006/courses/32013.jsp</a>) doesn't have it listed. Shall I contact the teacher?

And, if I was sent home because of drinking on campus... I can't even imagine my parents' reaction. It's hard enough making them trust me, with their oh-so-Indian paranoia. Haha, I'd never be allowed outside my house, except for school, ever again.

Yeah, I'll keep everything off campus.

By the way, I want to keep practicing tennis over the summer, because the tennis season is in the fall... so, does anyone want to play at SSP?

whats up with the dance?

dimptastic, I'm bringing my stuff so if you wanna play we can. Lights_out there is a SSP dance on July 1st. Hanumang06 I was wondering, can friends come and visit you, if so can they stay in the dorms with you?

i think the question was more along the lines of "isthe dance remotelyentertaining?" Or if that wasn't the question, that is now my question, so an answer would be appreciated.

Tennispro (I had a feeling you'd respond to my tennis comment for some reason), sounds good.

Besides the dance, what other activities are there?

they posted the activities calendar for this year. there are college visits and like visits to places in that area.
