HARVARD TRANSFER Fall2010

pranks- If that was your sole academic reason, our apps are overlapping…

hconfidential- yea that actually as my sole academic reason, lol (can’t really talk about other stuff because i’m transferring from a top 10 school to begin with)

pranks- I really hope we see each other in the EAS building at Harvard but…obviously my app will be compared to yours…haha too bad given your stats…(and the fact that your from a top 10 school)

hconfidential-yup, i really hope we do see each other (no but srsly, i don’t have high hopes about myself :frowning: …). lets keep each other updated when the results come out :)

meh, i just don’t think its possible to transfer in unless you’re a non-trad student with a STELLAR combo ECs and accomplishments (i mean like putnam fellow, international athlete, 12 research papers published, etc.) sorry for killing people’s moods, but if H is going to accept a handful of student out of possibly 1000+, it’s really hard to have any hope. i guess my experience with college apps last year killed all my optimism =( but still, if someone from CC manages to get in…

melonbread- I guess you are realistic. btw what’s non-trad student?

I’m applying as well! I actually got in as a freshman but decided to go to a school academically on par with harvard. I’ve realized that my current school is really not the best place for me so I really really hope I hear some good news in a few months.

wow…you were accepted once plus stellar stats i think you will definitely make it…

My money’s on pranks and five

agreed ^ .

they do look like strong candidates can’t wait for mid-may after e-mails are sent…haha

What’s the most important part of the application?

 1. Essays
 2. Grades
 3. Recommendations

I think they will first cut off by grades given such large pool of applicants/ low admit rates and then focus on essays & recs

“btw what’s non-trad student?”

Non-traditional students are students older than the “traditional” college age (18-22) who have left school for some time to pursue other things.
