HARVARD TRANSFER Fall2010

I chose East Asian Studies. It seems a lot of applicants choose Area Studies as their intended majors at Harvard

bump 10char

Hconfidential: that’s facinating, I enjoy cultural studies…do you have a concentration?..

harvardhop: I am majoring in East Asian Studies and political science. Actually I like studying cultural studies but I prefer continuing social science track of EAS at Harvard (only if chance is given to me…)

Hconfidential:That’s good that you have plans ready. So, is it only me, but I am eager to hear from Harvard. I would truly appreciate an E-mail that they received my application. What other schools are you applying to?..

Welcome to CC, harvardhop. Good luck with your application! :)

applied to harvard only. you?

Lenoradusk: Thanks! I’m done with my applications.

Hconfidential: I applied to both Stanford and Harvard, but Stanford is my number one choice. Have you received an E-mail from Harvard?..I just send one- to ask if they received my app.

I havent received anything either I guess nobody has got one. Stanford is as difficulty to get in, to my knowledge…Good luck!

You’re welcome Harvardhop, and I meant to type acceptance. (Lack of sleep…) I think Stanford is as hard to transfer to as Harvard. Good luck for Stan as well!

Just got an email confirming the application

same here =)

I didn’t yet. :(

Did you guys get the emails directly from H?

i received the confirmation email today as well. it was directly from harvard, and it was signed by the “committee on transfer admissions.”

guys, is anyone else checking this thread multiple times a day, even though the decisions are still months away?

count me in…lol
I didn’t receive a confirmation email from H. So, I called H just before, and a kind admissions processor said H did received my application. woo-hoo! Before calling H, I was so nervous but now I’m more relaxed.

@wellnow I’m checking this thread multiple times everyday haha…I guess i should stop doing so…anyways did you hear from a woman at the desk that around 300 applied this year? One who answered my call said she doent know…

@wellnow Was the signature written by hand or just typing?

the email was had a typed signature

@hconfidential – yes, it was a woman at the desk. she was particularly nice. she had me hold for a few moments and responded, “i dont have the exact number, but it is somewhere around 300 applicants.” she was kind of surprised at this number herself, for she looked up the information only after telling me that in past years the numbers have been somewhere around >1000

@wellnow- I guess the woman who answered me was not as nice…Anyways 300 sounds much more relieving
