Harvard Transfer (wannabes) Unite 2.0

nspeds, I have to tell you something.

I'm pregnant.

Wait wait! Don't get mad! The baby is not yours....or so I do not suspect..

See, when the mailman brought me my acceptance package -- well I was just so elated and gitty that I could not help myself. So I had to have him help me. On our bed. :(

Is this considered somthing substanative?

obviously not- janel's just being her silly self~!

nspeds you know what's worse than pointing out people's grammar? being wrong about it. (soberness is a word, and it really doesn't look suspicious anyway.)

NSPEDS ISNT EVEN APPLYING TO HARVARD!!! So he's irrelevant to the livelihood of the original thread. Just thought I'd put that out there :)

sreis, he wasn't pointing out mistakes in others' grammar. He was correcting his own words from a post made last year.

hahaha! someone ban him from both threads~!

away with u! intruding confusionist!

Hm, I think I saw some egregious regurgitation of Family Guy on the previous pages.

Janel, the mailman joke was great.

This was meant to provide a concise, cogent place for future applicants who read this forum. It is tedious to go through 40 pages of a thread searching for pertinent information. Your resentment is entirely unwarranted, and without any real underpinning.

I am sure you would all be grateful if this thread existed for the last admission cycle, as it would provide a wealth of information in a terse fashion. I fail to understand why you would not want to bestow this on future CCers...

calipharius, it is not that difficult for them to just click on the last few pages and see the decisions. It is, however, a pain the ass to find multiple threads. When searching through the archives recently, because they are so poorly organized, I could only find one Harvard thread despite the fact that I know there were multiple ones made last year.

No, that is simply untrue. It is not difficult at all to post admissions decisions in a single thread. Moreover, long threads are rarely focused (as evinced here), nor is clicking the last few pages of a thread an equal alternative to my proposal. Not all of the information will be clearly displayed. A catalog of applicants stats would be much easier - full-stop.

Whatever.

There is no firm answer to this disagreement.

In any case, if your dream thread ever does come to fruition, it will not be this one as it has already been contaminated with hoards of useless BS.

I have a question for you. You applied to Harvard last year, as I remember. Do you remember us getting an email before the actual decision, telling us exactly when we could expect it? I thought that they did this last year -- but there has been no such thing as of yet this year.

No, I do not recall any such email, though I will gladly check my email if you can figure out the admissions' email address. (@harvard.edu - it isn't byerly or admissions.)

Moreover, I think that there is a firm answer to this question. I cannot believe that you earnestly think that a thread comprising solely admissions decisions and stats would be a more valuable asset to future CCers, than a convoluted, 50 page thread which deals includes Barney lyrics and the like. Whether or not this is a concern for you is a different question entirely.

I am more than glad, also, to create a v.3.0

Sure. But if availing others is our primary concern, I propose making the title of the thread: "Official Harvard 06 Decisions: Posted Here".

Or everyone could just post their decisions in both threads. That way everyone wins.

Wooo.

And I'm almost positive that we knew exactly when our decisions were coming ahead of time last year. Whether we obtained this information via an email, or someone calling, I'm not sure. But I thought that I remember getting that first email, being scared to death to open it, going to CC first, and saw everyone talking about how it was just telling them when the decision would arrive.

Not according to the OAD.

And by the way, I was deriding myself:)

ummmm, what?
