Harvard Transfer (wannabes) Unite

thanks! i got rejected from yale, brown, and columbia....and i got into harvard..it's so unpredictable..do you guys waitlisted think you'll stay on the waitlist?

Congratulations bnx86:)!!!

I'll stay- but I realise it's pointless- and I think it's really evil for them to waitlist me for frosh and transfer admissions- they might as well as just said yes if they were on the fringes- sob*** doesn't help much that I'm international either-

Sorry to everyone else who was rejected.

Oh man, I know I am repeating this from last year, but:

I should have applied:(

Edit: Well, I am applying in exactly one year;)

It seems as though the ratio of waitlisted to rejected is approaching 1:1....

sry maybe I'm slow- what d'u mean ratio(with regards to the process) and how did u arrive at that proportion?

bumpity: remember, though, you're still an incoming sophomore. there's always next year!

nah- I don't have time for that-they either want me or they don't-and I'm sick of it~

Hold on for a minute: you were waitlisted at one of the best – if not the best – universities in the world. Not many can say that. Your time will come:)

That could be a wise choice, bumptity. I sort of wish that I hadn't put myself through this whole debacle again; ergh, if only I could stay away from the temptation. See how you feel about it in a year, though, because you were clearly a stong applicant if you were waitlisted.

twice? what are they trying to convince themselves of?I dunno- it just really feels horrible- doesn't help that I'm expecting a rejection from stanford in the next couple of hours- but u guys rock! At least I have people to share my sorrows with- my friends are nowhere to be found (all in class) and my mum thinks harvard's insane so she's currently incapable of having a logical conversation with me at this point-

did anyone get off the transfer waitlist last year?

I believe so.

I got into Brown and Columbia, and I really really want to go to Columbia...

so I sort of smiled when I got my rejection email. I know its crazy-but now I don't have to make that tough decision

oh so then it's worth all the effort I can muster-

hehehe new drive!

I wish I wasn't such an optimist- will save me a whole lot of energy in life!~!

nspeds, are u just speculating or did u in fact see a thread that had transfers who got off...?

thanks nspeds-

bumpity! stay on the waitlist! i won't go unless you go..lol!

Good luck waitlistees!

bnx86, you must be in you euphoria.

In fact, I am sure that getting an acceptance e-mail is about the equivalent of getting stoned.
