I am currently a first year student at a top 20 liberal arts college. In highschool, I had a B+ (3.4) gpa with only a couple AP's. My SAT's were 1360. Now, after my first semester, I have a 3.9 gpa through 16 credits and I retook the new SAT's and scored a 2350 (1580 + 770 W). I also play soccer for my school (d3) but will not be good enough to get recruited. I see the acceptance rate for the top ivy league schools are alarmingly low (Harvard 5%, Columbia 9%) but was wondering how you guys think I would fair in these school's admissions. I am hoping to transfer after this year, rather than wait 2 years, so that I can get a more typical college experience. Any thoughts or advice would be much appreciated.
