Harvard's social life

As an incoming Freshman '09, I know that many of you are as concerned as I am of Harvard's percieved lack of social life. I just found this blog that a group of H freshman put up and by the looks of it they have a lot of fun! We have nothing to worry about!

you know I have seen these people, they are all walking around laughing with their friends down the street, except it is a walk with a lot of hopping and nervous giggling usually since Cambridge is cold. And then they exhale and they are alone. I always wonder how alone they can be, if the dorm is empty, just like you wonder how alone a person can be in a library, and it is paradoxical (i am surrounded, but there is nothing.) It depends on how you want to see it so optimism is crucial.

I think to attend Harvard or any Ivy you have to be able to switch gears relatively easily, and that lends itself to flying around doing everything (and caring about it) including a social life.

Dude, this was a great find! I've heard mixed reviews about comedy stuff at Harvard. I've heard of stuff like the lampoon but most of their stuff is really dumb and pretentious. It seems like they think people will think they're funny just because they're the lampoon. Anyways, these guys are hilarious. I hope they let freshmen join next year, I'm totally gonna try to get in!
