I'm still waiting for the decision from UCLA(or UCSB just in case). Has any transfer heard from them? Commands?

Just got admitted :)

what was your gpa and what major?

I got in yesterday from UCSB-Study of Religion with 3.35 GPA.

Check the transfer board for details on this stuff. Plenty of info there.

I got in. Go Bruins!!!!!!!

pretty much chaos on the transfer board.

3.6+ w/ Math/applied sen. major

I applied UCSB as well, still no decision.

I'm still waiting too, and I heard the office is closed today. Does that really mean I have to wait until Monday at least? groans And I was using this decision to give me an idea about Berkeley, too...

baifan, you should call or email UCSB. I got accepted to UCSB back in March, they even posted financial aid awards. I also got into UCLA recently. You might want to check their websites regularly rather than wait for emails or snail mails. I am EE major/3.9ish gpa/no EC activies/personal statement started and finish a few hours before deadline.

well, thanks!
I did. I called them last friday, they said they still got 700 transfers to review at that point. Since I'm admitted by UCLA, I don't really expect anything from UCSB.

ee_stu, is the 3.9 your college GPA?

Yes, I am transferring this fall as a junior. I was really lucky to be accepted since I had no EC and rushed my personal statement. I initially planned on attending my local CSU since it would be cheaper but luckily I applied. My financial aid package from the CSU was very disappointing: $12k in loans when my EFC is only 245.

I got reject from UCSB finally, they gave me a message online today. Fortunately, I got in to UCLA, and felt like that I hit the wrong button and got a better result!!:)
