I've been applying pretty diligently in the few that even fit my criteria for the last 3 years but have not won a single one. Has anyone else? I feel like I'm applying for no reason at this point even though the extra money would help a lot with books/gas.

I have won the following scholarships that I found on those sites:
AXA Achievement ($10,000)
Military Family Support Trust ($12,000)
GE Reagan Scholarship ($40,000)
Buick Achievers ($2,000)
James and Virginia Smyth Scholarship ($8,000)
Scholarships for Military Children ($1,500)
Khols Store Winner ($50 gift card)
USYMCA Essay Contest (Ipad)

My older brother won the following 2 years ago:
Chief Petty Officer Scholarship ($2,000)
Anchor Scholarship ($2,000)
Buick ($8,000- has since change to reapply every year)
Scholarships for Military Children ($1,500)
Taco Bell Scholarship ($2,000)

If it helps you, I applied for 107 scholarships. Not all were from the sites, some were local and my brother applied for 86. As you can see, the return rate was low as far as the percentage of scholarships that I received compared to the number that I applied for. I did receive 5 local scholarships as well, but keep applying. Ones that I thought I was sure to get, I did not get and vice versa! My theory is that without the no answers, you will not get the yes answers!

Wow, that is pretty darn impressive. So you received over 70,000 in scholarships, plus the local ones? Will you have any debt at all? I see what I think is your bio on the GE-Reagan foundation one. Congrats!

Thank you AprilJ. Actually with the local scholarships and the college scholarships, I actually received $100,000 in scholarships and had to turn down one for $5,000 because I already had my expenses covered. I will not have to take any loans and yes that is my bio on the GE Reagan page. I also won an Ipad from one of the essay contests. I am very lucky to have my college paid for!
