Has anyone been accepted to SDSU for Fall 2012 yet?

Didn’t get in

3.4 GPA from CC (TAG)
Pre - Econ
Didn’t miss any prereqs and had a 4.0 for major related classes.

Super disappointed :(

Can i apply for Spring 2013? Is that possible?

Didn’t get in. Transfer, 3.92 GPA.
Was far from my first choice anyway :)

has anyone been accepted as an electrical engineer yet for freshmen?

Denied.

GPA: 3.84 from a CC
Major: Psychology
Residency: In-state
Locaiton: NorCal
Transferring with 78 units (including AP credit)

Appealing…I was accepted into the honors program when I was OOS and straight out of HS…hmm…

I am wondering why these transfers with high GPAs are getting denied. What can be the reason?

Got Denied!
3.52 GPA for Chemistry.
Transfer from a CC in Norcal.
However, my friend who is also a transfer got in with a 3.1 GPA in Biology.

@cpxdamon Exactly! It just makes me more nervous coming from out of state!

I saw that you were accepted a few days ago for business admin. what is your emphasis?

thanks for sharing!

When did you all check your status?
I’m applying as a first time freshmen and every time I check my status on the webportal, it says pending. Is there any other first time college freshmen on this forum waiting for a decision? College admissions are taking too long, I hate that they’re dragging it out!!! :(

yes, we are still waiting on my D’s status. It still says “pending” and the admission date hasn’t changed (evidently that means they haven’t reviewed her ap yet). It seems like there were some very early admissions of freshman back in Dec/Jan. Now it looks like it’s been mostly transfer acceptances/rejections this month. I think freshman must be coming up! Fingers crossed!

Still says pending for me too… i applied mid october.

I’m a freshman waiting as well, very nervous too since I think I’ll be rejected :s

This is horrible! I applied to five other colleges and have been accepted into three and waiting for the other three (that including SDSU). The colleges I was accepted into are demanding housing applications at a specific deadline. I hope SDSU doesn’t wait until the last minute to send the last of admissions. Blah!

RockyHorror:

With some colleges, you can send in a housing application without committing to the school. Even some that require a deposit say that it is refundable should you decide not to attend. Hopefully that gives you until May 1-when all you acceptances are confirmed, so you’re not to stressed! =0)

karenee: Thank you!

After I posted my last comment, I checked my SDSU webportal. I was denied as a freshmen for fall of 2012. :frowning:
Though SDSU wasn’t my dream school or first choice, I am sad to receive my first rejection letter from a college. For those who are still waiting, I’m sure you all will be accepted very soon just make sure you check your weportals everyday!
For those who are curious of my stats:
Major: Anthropology
3.5 g.p.a
22 ACT
1460 SAT
Area: SoCal (not in service area)

Good luck to those who have been accepted and those who are still on their toes about admission. I wish you the brightest future!!!
:)

So sorry RockyHorror. Good luck with your other options!

I just checked my daughter’s and she, too, got denied (her first, too). According to all the websites that had chance predictors, it said she had a pretty high chance of getting in, but seeing all these posts, it seems a lot of people with good stats aren’t getting in. =0(

she had a 3.6 gpa
1210/1720 SATs

She has gotten accepted to:

CSUF
Chico
SJSU
Sac State

Waiting to hear from:

Cal Poly
UCSB
UCDavis

It’s looking grim for those. =0(

The UC’s are different from CSU’s in that where you live in state ha no bearing on whether you’re accepted or not. Your D prob has a shot at UCSB and Davis. Never say never. Sometimes it really seems like the admissions game is just that. A roll of the dice.

Thanks…You’re right-it’s so hard to predict. I’m hopeful she has a shot at the ones she hasn’t heard from. If not, it wasn’t meant to be! =0)

Everything happens for a reason. I got into SDSU but not San Marcos and still waiting from SFSU but i doubt i got in. Both of those schools I thought for sure I’d get into. I even teared up a little when i got denied fro San Marcos because I thought that if i didn’t get accepted there I wasn’t going to get into anywhere

This sure makes OOS chances seem extremely low!
