I'm a novice LD debater and was looking for a decent camp this summer so that i can be more active in my school team next year.
so far, this is the only one i've found that fits my schedule-- i'm basically only free up to about the first week of july.
there are no reviews about it on the internet though so i was wondering if it was any good?
and if not do you have any other suggestions for debate camps?
thanks!!

anyone?
any comments would be appreciated =)

Personally, I find debate camps to be overrated. LD focuses on logic and philosophy, so look into those. Seriously, I would recommend picking up a few books on philosophy. Move chronologically forward. For logic I would recommend specifically looking at skepticism (preferably classical) as that covers some great logic stuff.

Of course, I would still highly recommend doing it, debate camp is lots of fun (as an added bonus you learn things too!). No matter what the debate camp is, as long as they aren't teaching you fallacies and incorrect methodology and they do have you do many practice debates; then they're good in my book.

When I did debate camp it was all about building up experience. And of course with more experience will come skill, eventually.

My experience: Went to the World Debate Institute at the University of Vermont, Captain of Debate Team.

thanks for the info!
