Haha, so today I was hanging out in a teacher's room during lunch break, and she was talking about an MBA program she was applying for. She was saying how she needed recommendations and one of the people who was going to write her one had a parent die. So, I told her I would write it (half sarcastically, half seriously). We discussed briefly whether a student could write one, and according to the rules of the recommendations, only one had to be from a supervisor. So, she accepted my offer, and I am now in the process of writing a recommendation FOR a teacher. Sounds like fun to me, and I have a very good idea of what to write--plus my writing skills are probably actually better than the teachers who wrote recs for me (I proofread my commonapp recs).

Note that she wrote my recommendation for CommonApp.

Anyone else do this? any comments?
Lol, I find this situation kinda interesting/ironic/funny :D

I wrote one for my stats teacher. "Ms. X's teaching ability is three standard deviations above the mean!" She didn't win, but I think only one teacher in the entire state could win anyway. I felt pretty honored to be the one chosen to write the reference, I wasn't even a student at the school anymore...

Not a true letter of recommendation, but I did have a history student teacher ask if he could take my work as part of his portfolio for his education classes. That made me smile.

Hey Chris, I msged you about the newspaper.

I just kinda wish I wrote this before she wrote mine, so she see's how it's done!! ;) (lol, okay, I am not that cocky about my recommendation writing abilities... but I really think it'll turn out well, and obviously unique).
