I recently started looking into agricultural careers as it would be something I enjoy. so I looked at the course work for the major, And to my surprise actually offers a very broad spectrum of course work, including economics, biology, biochemistry, applied farming science, management, environmental studies, and general chemistry (it is applied, but still a pretty good foundation I would imagine.) And I suppose you could get in a PhD in a science fairly easily with a few preliminary courses to get you up to speed. Not to mention it is a pipeline to Veterinarian school

To me, It is a culmination of many things I like, also sounds fairly difficult. But maybe I will get an AAS or even major in it, who knows? And it doesn't hurt that the unemployment rate is under 4% (nearly as good as allied health majors like nurses.) compared to the 8%+ unemployment of other science majors.

I just wanted to point this major out to other perspective science majors and hear what you guys have to think about it.
